“Good food and good atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014

Agua Azul was just up the road from our rental house so we stopped here for lunch on our first day in town. The 6 of us all ordered something different and each item was great. I would highly recommend the tuna wrap. Nice big chunks of fresh tuna. The service was very friendly and the view the bay was awesome. We tried to stop in again for dinner later in the week, but there was an hour wait so we decided to go someplace else. But that tells you how popular the place is.

“Good, Not Great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

We had lunch here one day, and while we found the food enjoyable, it was nether special nor memorable. Service was good, and the price was right. Would certainly be happy to eat here again, and to try dinner, but would probably not go out of my way to do so.

“Best Meal in Costa Rica”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

We were in Costa Rica for a little over a week and ate out for lunch and dinner throughout the trip. Eight of us went to dinner at the Cafe Agua Azul and we all thought this restaurant had the best food of the trip.

I had the Coconut Crusted Fish and a few others had the Panko Crusted Tuna. They were delicious. And their drinks were good and strong. I admit that it was not inexpensive but it did seem to be on par with most of the nicer restaurants in Manuel Antonio. Everything in that area is expensive.

For a "bonus", while we were waiting for our table, we sat at the bar overlooking the cooking area and had a great time talking with and being entertained by the cook and support crew. Everyone at the place was very friendly - that part made Agua Azul very special.

“Delicious food and amazing view”

Nice family restaurant with ample menu variety. Get there early to get a good table with a view. It can get busy late nights.
