Outstanding guide and tour of Manuel Antonio. Iguana Tours picked us up from our hotel and provided transportation for the entire tour, with a tropical fruit break at the end. Our guide wasn't afraid to reveal tricks of the trade for how they were able to spot so many animals--most animals we saw are territorial and are typically seen in specific spots. Our guide was very professional and had extensive knowledge of the flora, fauna, and wildlife of the park. He was equipped with a spotting scope that allowed us to see a lot more of the wildlife up close and even offered to take pictures if our cameras weren't able to zoom in close enough. We would have definitely missed 90% of the things we saw on the tour if it wasn't for our guide. Highly recommend having one if touring the park. Although the tour started off slow, once we started hearing and seeing the various wildlife, the time flew by.

I did not like that they only stopped at the beaches briefly before continuing on the tour. The guides build up how nice the beaches are and that we should definitely spend some time at them, but the tour only stops briefly before continuing on. If you decide to stay at the beach instead of continuing with the tour, you're responsible for your own transportation back which could be a short walk or an "expensive" cab ride.

On our recent visit to Manuel Antonio we went on two excursions with Iguana Tours. In both cases the guides were very good, they spoke English very well and were very accommodating.
The first tour we did was Manuel Antonio National Park. Our guide was very thorough and showed us a lot of things we would have missed on our own. Manuel Antonio is a busy place with a lot of tours going on at the same time, from what I could see around me we were getting one of the better ones. The guide carried a powerful spotting telescope so that we could see the wildlife better, he also used it to take photos with our cameras. Once the tour reached the beach we opted to stay there for the afternoon so we left the tour at that point.
The second tour we did was Kayaking and Snorkeling. They picked us up and took us to Quepos where they had the Kayaks waiting for us. After some brief instruction we began a long paddle across to a quiet beach. Once at the beach they provided refreshments; water, crackers, and fresh pineapple. We were free to swim and snorkel at our leisure. Unfortunately the conditions made the snorkeling rather poor. We then Kayaked back across the Quespos. Once the boats were out of the water we were driven to a restaurant in Manuel Antonio for a traditional Cost Rican lunch.
Iguana Tours does a nice job, we were happy with the experience.

We booked Iguana Tours for three adventures: a mangrove tour, white water rafting, and a guided trip through Manual Antonio National Park. Because of a medical emergency, we were unable to do the white water rafting. Iguana Tours was very understanding and graciously let us cancel our trip for seven. We were most appreciative.

This was our second trip to Manual Antonio. We repeated two tours from our previous trip; this time, however, using Iguana Tours. They were an excellent choice. With each tour, they picked us up from our hotel and transported us in air conditioned buses to the site. Our actual tour guides were very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information on the areas visited. They were very skilled at spotting the wildlife. On the tour through the National Park, the guide had a telescope that he used to help us obtain an up close shot of the wildlife. In fact, he could take pictures with your camera through the telescope lens.

We would definitely recommend this tour company to anyone traveling to this area. Our correspondence began in the States, and they were very prompt in replying to our inquiries.

Our experience with Iguana from start to finish of our first white wtaer rafting experience was excellent.

The surroundings and the river adventure were great, but its the guides that totally make the trip worth it. We learned so much about Costa Rican history, nature and more and all the while having fun. Safety was also emphasized which made us felt comfortable.

As in in any tour in th area, prepare yourself for a costa rican massage....the bumpy ride through the palm reserves and mountains.

Look for Joshua and Manuel Antoniop as guides. They were the BEST.

My daughter and I went on the 1/2 day horseback tour. It was a great price for what we got. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off there after the tour. The horses were healthy and excited. We found them to be not easily agitated yet very peppy! We rode for about 45 minutes down a gravel roadway. Then we stopped and made a short hike to a waterfall. We had a snack and a swim in the fresh water. We then got back on our horses and made our way through the jungle back to where we started. We then had a wonderful authentic lunch! We had a great adventure.
