The food was fantastic and the service was the best we’ve had in 8 months in Costa Rica. Street noise & dust are the negatives of their convenient location.

Super yummy chicken salad if you dont like to eat heavy meats. Las Piedras have been in the same location for ever and year after year meet us with really super service and tasty grilled tidbits. Cozy atmosphere too.

I had the tuna and it was a very large portion made very well. The staff all spoke English very well and were able to help me decide how I wanted my tuna cooked (seared, obviously). They also had a special on Cana rum which was very tasty. My friends both got steak which they also enjoyed. Each portion comes with potato (whole, grilled in foil on the fire) and simple greens. Great for a large protein portion, and hanging out with friends!

I'd never had Argentinian Steak before so I was curious to try it. Boy was it good! SO flavorful and juicy. The mashed potatoes were a great consistency too with a yummy buttery taste to them and the salad provided a healthy balance :-). It came with chimchurri sauce and a type of pico de gallo-both were so rich and bursting with flavor! I also had a pineapple watermelon shake that was very tasty. What a satisfying meal.

Before i comment on the food i want to point out that these guys work incredibly hard night in and night out. I'm impressed with the level of service each and every time i come here over the years. As for the food, do your self a favour and start with the empanadas. My fav is the carne but all the options are amazing. If you don't order the empanadas then make sure you ask for the chimichuri sauce for your main course, i usually keep some from the empanadas to put on the rest of my food it's out of this world. The 1/4 or 1/2 chicken dishes are a must have for your first visit but please don't stop there, come back and order the Milanesa (Carne) which is like schnitzel, sooooo good. Be sure to squeeze lemon all over it too, you're taste buds will be thanking you for weeks after getting this dish. I'd recomment substituing the fritas for the puree. Now if you don't follow this up with the brownie topped with ice cream then I don't know what you're doing but it isn't right. The brownie is amazing and i've taken it to go multiple times to eat later or the next day, just pop the entire container in the freezer and you'll still be impressed but fresh is best and it's really really really good. Aside from the food and the outstanding service this restaurant is a warm and welcoming place, I always feel at home here. There's something about this spot which makes me happy. It can get busy though so make sure to make a reservation although you can usually still get a table without one. I recommend a reservation because it's a dinner you won't want to miss and you'll want to come here early on in your trip to leave enough time to come back for more amazing dinners.
