This little soda type restaurant is really a part of the hotel by the same name, but you would never know it unless you walk around the side of it. It is conveniently located right across from the park which is at the northern end of the main street in Jaco.
My wife and I stumbled across this simple little cafe as we were strolling down the street and browsing the shops. We were delighted to find that they have free Wi-Fi where we could reconnect with the kids and world for a few minutes during our recent vacation.
We stopped in during the breakfast time and enjoyed a typical Costa Rican breakfast of rice & beans, fruit, eggs and toast...of course with terrific Costa Rican coffee! The food was very good and the service was wonderful. The waitress took her time with us, even though the place was full. She accommodated our attempts at Spanish and we got what we ordered...even the eggs over medium rather than scrambled.
We liked it because we could sit in the shade....the seating is in the front of the kitchen in open air under the roof. At the same time we could enjoy the view of the park and lazily drink our coffee. Prices were great. Maybe we paid $8 or $9 in total for the 2 of us.
It's worth a stop if you happen to be near this little surfing town on the Pacific coast.
