“Peaceful and enjoyable ride above the rainforest”
Reviewed December 10, 2013

An enjoyable ride above the rainforest and a past a lovely waterfall. It was raining during our tour but we still saw white faced monkeys and a coatimundi. The walk along the trail was informative as our guide pointed out several plants and fruits and we viewed several snakes on exhibit. Nice gift shop.

“Are we there yet?”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

It doesn't help that I am scared of heights as I went here feeling quite anxious, but the one thing I can say about this place is that once you are on the tram and settled in you do feel quite secure up there! However thats about where the positives ended for me.

Each tram takes 6 people plus a guide, and I must say that our guide was not great (either on the tram or while walking us around the rest of the grounds). he knew what he was talking about and his english was ok but his delivery style was bland and i lost interest very quickly. Also pretty much the only animals we saw were White faced Cappuchins, but the problem of these trams is that you see them and keep moving so you do not get time to enjoy the animals... The only thing you enjoy is a nice view on the way back down.

It is valiant what they have done with old plantation land and a hill side unsuitable for other development but for me it really wasnt worth the money AT ALL! We didn't realise that we were getting a tour of the grounds after which was a bonus as we thought we would get some more value out of the money but in fact we just got very hot and I really wasn't too impressed with the snake enclosures... They need to take a look at what the serpentarium in Monteverde are doing!

I honestly wish that we had spent our last morning in Costa Rica doing something a little more enjoyable... To be honest even a walk along Jaco beach would have been a better way to end our holiday - at least that would have been free of charge.

“Up Up and away”

What a wonderful trip through and over the rain forest. The tram is certainly the way to see nature first hand. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and make the tour most enjoyable.
One of the high lights of our trip to Costa Rica.

“Raining in the rainforest”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

It was raining when we arrived but cleared when we boarded the tram. Interesting and we got to see a few birds. It is a tram that goes up the side of the rainforest. Not very thrilling but a nice ride.

“Worth Every Penny”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We bought the Aerial Tram/Zip Line Excursion package from HAL while cruising on the MS Veendam. From the beginning it was outstanding. A very nice bus took us to the rain forest entertained the entire time by our guide for the adventure, Rhyan. He was everything you'd want in a tour guide, especially one who has responsibility for about 50 senior citizens zip lining for the first time. The entire crew was so proficient and conscientious; no one was ever scared. It was tons of fun and my husband, who was very unsure of this, loved it as you can see from the photo. We'll always cherish our memory of this gorgeous rain forest and this great facility in it and the great people like Rhyan and his crew who made our adventure so special.
