My wife and I were there in October. It rained like cats and dogs... We had to buy rain ponchos from the gift shop... $10 for a plastic poncho. If you go, be prepared with a rain jacket and hood.

The tram ride went way up the side of the mountain with views of the forest and waterfalls. I expected that it would rise above the canopy to give a grand view, it did not.

The garden tour was ok, it was tough in the rain.

The guide was very nice and very knowledgeable.

Lunch was better than I expected. Tasty and plentiful.

We wanted to do a zip line and were thinking of doing the one in Carrera but when we talked to the tour guy at our hotel he sold us on this one. We were at the Best Western in Jaco. it was a 10-15 minute ride to the area. The reception area was very nice and inviting and we were greeted by really nice people. We had a blast! First we got our gear, they taught us what we needed to know, and then we took a 20-25 minute gondola trip up the mountain and through the rain forest. We saw some beautiful scenery including two waterfalls. We got off and were instructed where to go by a really nice group of guys. They were all young and knew their stuff which made us all feel good. The first 3 zips were relatively short and they gave us confidence as the guides helped us stop and land. Then the zips got really long and were so much fun. My husband is in his 70's and I'm in my mid 60's and we were having as much fun as the young kids. This is a must do in Jaco. We also got a guided tour through their area that was beautifully landscaped and they had some aquariums with the snakes of the region. It was also really interesting! A truly fun day!

first vacation ever with my adult kids. it was a great way to re connect with my kids. the jungle tour with doug was awesome. swimming at the waterfall was great. we had a nice breakfast on top of the mountain. great views. the kids did the zipline .I chickend out but had fun watching. recommend this tour with doug. he pointed out many wild animals and their habitats which made it very interesting and he knew the best places to eat and get a nice cold beer.it was also very nice to be picked up at the airport and taken to a nice CLEAN condo where we rested up for the next days big adventure

We visited in February of 2013 and part of the problem was that it was definitely the dry season. The "rain" forest didn't much look like one although our guide did try and give us the information about many plants and trees along the way. It was interesting but would probably have enjoyed it more if the plants weren't all looking so dead and dried out.

We just dropped by to get some info about times and prices rather than booking through a tour company or hotel. The cost to take the tram up and zip line back down was $70 USD per person. The tram ride up was nice, especially when compared to taking a tractor ride up at the other tour we went on. The method this company uses differs from the other we did on this trip. This company uses a double line method and the guest does not hold onto the line but rather onto the harness below the cables. This was more comfortable for me. Also, the bottom and top of the harness were connected rather than two separate pieces at the other company. I think being connected made it more comfortable. The views were great. It was hot and there was some walking during the tour. I preferred this company over the one with the tractor ride to the top of the mountain.
