My wife and I have Labeled our experience at Hotel Pumilio as the best in both our trips to Costa Rica.

In search of a peaceful stay in a location that offers great service, great/comfortable rooms in an area surrounded by nature, we can attest that Pumio has it all and more. Their welcoming and check in was excellent and friendly, their breakfasts: typical, generous and delicious, their rooms: clean and perfectly maintained and equipped.

As for the Front office (Krishne), was very helpful and informative with the theee excursions we booked as well as with the evening couples massage we enjoyed in their gorgeous area surrounded by nature.

The Hotel is far enough but very close to Jacó which allows for peaceful retreat with the town and beach quickly accessible a shirt ride away.

In summary, if ever again in the area, we will without a doubt stay at Pumilio again and we certainly recommend you to safely choose Pumilio for your stay.

I hope this helps. Pura Vida!

Room tip: Don’t worry about Pumilio.

Thank you for your kindly comments and rating! All our guests are always more than welcome in our Boutique hotel. We work hard to give the importance that our guests deserve, especially knowing that they are sharing with us their vacation time. It was a pleasure meeting you a very special couple.

It`s better when our guest trust us and book the tours and activities with us instead of making ahead by themselves, depending in our guests plans, likes and preferences we know which tour operator will be the best option, we take care of the schedule and can double check for the best service to our guests, we love to be part of your plans, so you can relax and explore Costa Rica like been pamper at home and for those booking tours with us we offer the free taxi to downtown.

Like you hear you enjoyed our Spa, being outdoor and surrounded by nature is and unique adventure instead of been in an AC Spa and the perfect complement for a relaxing and spoiling time.

Pumilio is strategically located at the edge of the jungle, perfect to explore Costa Rica like being pamper at home surrounded by nature, see the toucans, macaws and lots of birds flying naturally and the lizards walking around. Close enough to lots of activities, restaurants and things Jaco or Herradura Beaches offer.

The rooms were planned to be spacious and bright with the kitchen outside so our guests can keep contact with nature and avoid the food smell inside the room. They are fully renovated!

Best regards from all the staff that is very grateful that you appreciated our service that they enjoy giving our guests, specially Krishne that I'm sure is an excellent host!

Looking forward to have you back leaping into happiness at Pumilio!

The hotel was just perfect for our stay in Jaco. Enjoying the sounds of nature on our patio was really special. The hotel's location is perfect to do all the things that Jaco has to offer, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. This was one of our favorite hotels on our trip to CR.

It was always a pleasure going back to our suite after a long day of tours. Located about 7 minutes from Jaco town. We had a terrace suite that walked right out to the pool. The balcony suites may have more privacy, however the easy access to the pool from our terrace was nice too. The rooms were nice with A/C, and you had access to full outdoor kitchen. Eating out every night is expensive, so this outdoor kitchen really came in handy on nights where we wanted to save money but still have a nice ambience to have dinner and drinks. The staff were also extremely helpful. Breakfast was okay for what it was... free. My only complaint would be that the wifi was extremely weak insider our room, but otherwise would probably stay again on a return trip to the Jaco area.

Thank you for you feedback your opinion truly helps us make our guest’s experience even better and helps others that are looking for a hotel to spend their vacation. We work hard to give the importance that our guests deserve, especially knowing that they are sharing with us their vacation time, absolutely spoil to explore Costa Rica.

Our location path which is a major plus as it is tucked away, at the edge of the jungle, perfect to explore Costa Rica like being pamper at home surrounded by nature, just far enough to be in wilderness but only a skip of a beat away from anything you could ever need in in the area.

The rooms were planned to be spacious and bright with the kitchen outside so our guests can keep contact with nature and avoid the food smell inside the room. They are fully renovated! You are right the balcony suites are more private and have a better view, others prefer the terrace suites to be beside the pool.

Most of the restaurants in Costa Rica are expensive nice to hear you enjoyed having the fully equipped kitchen.

For breakfast, we decided not to have schedule, guests that are going to tours frequently needs it before 7 a.m. and other want to sleep until late, we change daily because people love long stays. We added “tamales” typical dish for Christmas in Costa Rica, now we serve them at breakfast everyday, so our guest can try them. At Pumilio every day is a Holiday!

I can really understand you with the WIFI, the past month the company that provides us te service has been having lots of problems with the service, since the rainy season stared, we are already working to find a better company since we depend on the internet working perfect all the time. Sorry about that!

Best regards from all the staff that is very grateful that you appreciated our service that they enjoy giving our guests.
Looking forward to have you back leaping into happiness at Pumilio!

The people were so warming and welcoming , for my birthday they gave me a birthday cake and sang to me , it was the best. Also, very accessible to many attractions, which is a win-win ! I suggest This for anyone that wants to go to Costa Rica and wants to be in a private area , but near tons of attractions!!
