“Good food at a good price!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We were told by the locals of a good place to get "pescado entero" (a full fish-fried whole) and this was definitely good advice! They said the fish were "small" so they gave us two for the price of one...way more than we could eat! The ambiance was very nice, the service friendly and the prices and food both good. Would definitely recommend it and I'd definitely go back to try something else on the menu! The only issue we had, which is obviously not the restaurants fault, is we got eaten alive by mosquitos (through our clothes even). They're obviously aware of it as they lit mosquito coils all around us...very nice of them to do that. :-)

“The best food in Golfito”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We stayed at Mar y Luna about 3 months ago but did not eat there. This time we were pleasantly surprised at the large selection (especially the sea food) and the quality of the food.

“Over night at Mar Y Luna”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

This is a gem! It's not much but it's perfect! Great comfortable rooms with working air co and hot showers. Right on the water with such great, inexpensive food and drinks. Daniel and Andres are the sons of the owners and are super fun and helpful along with the rest of the staff.

The food is AMAZING!

This was just a stop before we headed to Finca Bellavista 45 minutes into the jungle.

Sitting in the open restaurant making new friends and memories is what Mar Y Luna is all about.

“One of the best typical places in Golfito”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Fresh fish and Shrimp are the order here. Inexpensive open air right on the water. The family that runs it also have small boats for rent with a Captain for tours in the Golfo Dulce

“Good food and reasonably priced.”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We were staying at Mar y Luna for 2 nights and the restaurant was very convenient. I really enjoyed the soup in evenings. For lunch I had some yummy pasta. Breakfast was typical for most B&B's in CR.
