We chose this due to trip advisor ratings and were glad we did. The owners, a Costa Rican photographer and his California-born wife who works as a marine biologist at the sea turtle conservancy, have worked hard to create a special place both for the atmosphere and the food. Dishes we tried included a caribbean beef stew, chicken roulade with apple stuffing and bacon wrap, and garlic shrimp-- all excellent. The fresh guacamole with a touch of red pepper was the best I can remember. The side dishes included mashed yucca and fresh vegetables. They have interesting drinks, including a hibiscus lemonade and smoothie with pineapple. We paid about $20 per person with tax and service.
