Giant tacos at Alice. More like a burrito but not wrapped/stuffed under. Eat with a fork as you cannot pick up. Expected a couple smaller fish traditional fish tacos. Fish was good, price average value at $10. We split one giant taco as a small lunch between two. Fish was super tasty, the rest of the fillings decent. No additional sides or accompaniments. Friendly service, not spectacular. Worth a visit if you are in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We stayed in Playa Chiquita area for 2 weeks and Alice's restaurant was very convenient for us. We ate there about 4 times during our stay.

A very friendly young lady was serving us there every time. A very outgoing fellow was doing most of the cooking. We really loved this place.

We had fish tacos which were really great. What we enjoyed most here was the more traditional rice and beans and casados. We had both the fish and chicken casados, the chicken was really tasty. My wife was gaga about the homemade salad dressing. When asked, the recipe for the dressing was not forthcoming. A cook's best defense is a secret recipe right? I would suggest it's a honey mustard base, but wow, it was really good.

We were not the only people that were coming back here, having run into familiar faces more than once. I think that tells the story......people don't return because they were unhappy with the food and service.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Alice.

The food was delicious, fresh and authentically Costa Rican. The prices were much better than most of the restaurants in the area as well.
However, it was only open for one day of the week we were there - perhaps the owners were on holiday?

Great value, home-cooked lunch with fab BBQ fish and some chocolate ice cream. Well worth a stop in.

Big space on the jungle side of the road. Chef Andy is a master with fish and especially the fish tacos, you really need a fork to enjoy them. Loaded with local fish, veggies and a native hand cooking the food. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
