On our honey moon, my wife and I pulled up to this beach side bar and grill for our daily ceviche while visiting Puerto Viejo for the day. It was happy hour and they had some of the only craft beers you could find in Costa Rica, Segua Red Ale and another that I can't recall. They were also serving Bloody Mary's.
It wasn't long before we made friends with the owners from our hometown of New Orleans and staff members. The bar seemed to be a frequent hang for the local characters, friendlies from all over. We enjoyed their USDA organic beef hamburgers and on point ceviche while soaking up the sun and enjoying the Caribbean breeze. The local beef was not what we enjoy in the states, so this where you want to eat a burger if your hit with the craving.
Needless to say we returned from Cahuita everyday until we departed for Panama to say hello to our new friends and have a beer and ceviche.
