Description: The Point...A different kind of Sports Bar.Sure we have sports on all (7) of our T.V's all the time...and sure we have hot wings and (U.S.D.A. beef) burgers...and sure we have ice cold beer and micro brew on tap, but did you know that we have local Caribbean cuisine made by the best chef south of Nicaragua?  Check out our open air restaurant/bar located on Black Beach, steps to the Caribbean Sea. A local hangout where tourists and locals come together to have a good ol' time.  So on your next visit to Puerto Viejo, top on by and say hi ya'll (before Paradise, we lived in New Orleans).  We will keep a seat warm, a cold beer, your favorite game on, and a fun time waiting for you!

The local beers are good but the food is so so. Order bar food such as hamburgers, they are OK. Do not order pricey fish, even if they tell you is good and large. We did and were very dissapointed!

I agree, I love the craft beer we serve. As far as the fish, I'm afraid it is the same fish that everyone gets. I buy from the local fisherman. So there is a chance you swam that morning with the fish you ate for lunch..
Thanks for your review

This was our first stop before getting to our rental house because I had already read about it on trip advisor. Great place that we frequented often during our 9 day stay in Punta Uva down the road. Great food and great sports on the the TVS. Tiffany, the owner, was a pleasure all the time to talk to. Got to watch Ohio State vs. Michigan. Great fun and great food right at the beach. Can't recommend it enough!!!Thanks Tiffany again!! Jen and Dan

Right on the beach, this bar offers great beer/ale and food. Ordered at our table: cevechi, guacamole, chili, burger, and fries. The bonus was that we enjoyed a heavy rainfall that blew in from the Carribean.

Our "Home Away from Home"!
We rented an apartment right down the road from this place - so it was right smack in between where we were staying, and the town. Perfect place to start and end your day.

We ate here many times. I got the chicken burrito almost every time - it was SOO GOOD! We also got the red snapper - delish! and fresh! We tried the "red dirt" sauce on the wings...Highly recommended! The pork appetizers, and civeche was perfect! Pina Colada's made by Kat were on point! <- see what i did there?

There was so much about this place that was awesome...My boyfriend loves to talk so he would sit down there almost every night chit chatting away with all the staff until closing. This place really made his vacation!

While we were there they we getting ready to finish up a Barge project. A boat you can drink on right off their beach! What a awesome idea! We were dissapointed we couldnt be there for the launching.

Thank you to all the staff and especially the owners who made our stay fun - you guys rule! Keep up the good work and good luck with the barge! and ROCK ON!

Sat down and felt like the odd one out, very strange for Costa Rica. Appeared to be the "locals" on a Sunday afternoon. Ended up leaving for even getting served.

We appreciate your review, however you can not really review a place before you get served. I remember y'all, you came in in the third quarter of a football game and all the "locals" were watching the game. I am surprised that we didn't turn off the televisions the minute you walked in and greeted you with a great big hug. Perhaps if you would have stayed long enough for even a drink, you would have been able to join the "locals". Good luck with your future endeavors.
