If we ever make it back to Costa Rica, we will only visit/stay at one place! We had 3 nights at Mother Dear in February 2013, and it went way too fast. Had I known the experiences that awaited me on the Oso Peninsula, I truly never would have left Debbie and Jim's AMAZING property. First of all they are not just wonderful hosts, but truly kind people. The "cottages" are absolutely spotless, bugless, and spectacular! King size bed, lovely, fresh smelling linens, a great bathroom, a deck not to be missed! The gorgeous wood throughout is beautiful!
Since we had so much rain while in CR, our clothes were all damp..they were gracious enough to let us use their washer, and DRYER (not a lot of those in CR), there was some cold beverages in the fridge upon arrival, which were much appreciated. There was a cook top, a blender, coffee pot etc...anything you could need to cook if you wanted. The location was the best too...far enough away from the town of PV, yet close enough to walk and bike to the town and beaches further south, which we did. Overall, their property is impeccably maintained, lots of outdoor space, secure, and you are literally on the beach and can rinse at the outdoor shower so you don't track sand into your cottage. You would be crazy not to stay here when visiting the Caribbean Coast....best for couples, so romantic.
