“Wonderful lamb kababs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

We had the Lamb Kebab dish served here for dinner while on a stay in the area. It was delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection, the baba ganoush was so delicious and the home made pita bread was DIVINE! Everything is reasonably priced and the service is impeccable. If you come here, you must try the lemonade and mint. A refreshing icy drink for a warm evening!

“Pita and Hummus to die for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

We stopped here on our way back to Cocles after spending a day at the beach in Punta Uva. We each ordered the Pita with Falafel and Hummus and were not disappointed. The Pita bread is some of the best we've ever had (soft, warm, fluffy) and the hummus and falafel are homemade from their own recipes. The "hot sauce" is a nice blend of spicy peppers in oil and is simply the right mix for the hummus and pita. My 10 yr old son even claimed how good it was and he's a picky eater like most 10yr old American boys. We were stunned at how much he liked it. They portions are big so if you aren't hungry, consider splitting a plate.

“Very Good”

Get the Pita - Its big, soft, and delicious!

We choose chicken over lamb, but I am sure they are both great.

We hope to go again before we leave Puerto Viejo

“Delicious Mediterranean food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Right outside the back gate of Tree House Lodge. Healthy food. American owned and run. The woman owner carried her baby around with her as she took orders! We wouldn't see that in Southern Calif. Very friendly, helpful people. Busy at dinner-time.
Great food.

“Pita near Punta Uva”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

We had awesome Mediterranean food in Costa Rica at Pita Bonita. I'm always fairly picky about this particular cuisine because my mom is from Istanbul, Turkey and I grew up eating and cooking Turkish food. The hummus, falafel and the chicken shwarma were amazing! They also made fantastic mint lemonade and Mojitos! The owners were so kind and are waitress Dorothy was so sweet and provided GREAT service! We HIGHLY recommend going to Pita Bonita if you are on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica!
