“Amazing place to see beautiful animals”

For an affordable entrance fee, you have a chance to see many adorable animals... One of the highlights of our trip! You have the opportunity to go in the baby monkey enclosure and pet them and pick them up! But be careful, one little guy ripped a clip from my hair and tried to eat it! Silly monkey! You can get really up close with the sloths (although you cant touch them) and you can get some great photos! I highly recommend you spend an afternoon here!

“Monkeys & Sloths oh my!”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

It was a busy holiday, but somehow once we started on the tour, it seemed very well spaced out. Our guide was kind, funny and if she didn't have the answer to our question she found someone who did.

Our best experience was getting to play with the white faced and howler monkeys ~ a true once in a lifetime chance to see the animals firsthand. A great locally run organization that truly cares about the welfare of all jungle creatures.

“Wonderful rescue center”

We visited with a large wedding group. The staff was very accommodating to our group. They were all very friendly and informative. It is eye opening to see the local animals and different creatures of Costa Rica!

“Still interesting, but it's popularity has changed it”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

This was one of our family's favorite spots on a visit three years ago. We went back recently, and while there was still a tremendous amount of learning and exposure to the animals, it has become much more popular, which means the experience is much less intimate. I know on the plus side, that means more funds are raised for animal rescue.

“Great Experience”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

We loved our trip to the Jaguar Rescue Center. We did the slightly more expensive after-hours private tour and it was so worth the money. It was probably one of the best ways to start out our trip to Costa Rica because we got a really good overview of the animals we would be seeing on the rest of our trip. The staff is very knowledgeable about the different species in the country and they do a great job of sharing all the information they know. The best part of the tour was where we got to go into the monkey exhibit and feed the monkeys. They give you a baby bottle and the monkeys will just climb all over you trying to fight for the formula. It was definitely an experience we will never forget.
