I can think of nothing negative to say about our dinner at Jungle Love. It is a small restaurant (6 tables) and reservations are a must. The ambience is casual but the decor is well-done with attention to detail. The lighting was perfect. Poppy, one of the owners, is fun, knowledgeable, and a fabulous host. She and her husband have a good thing going here. Oh--the food. It's delicious, creative, and the presentation is wonderful. As others have said, dinner for two will run you around $60, including a shared appetizer, shared dessert, and a couple of drinks apiece. We were in the area for four days and ate at a number of restaurants--this being one of our favorites.

This little place near the beach was the perfect place to spend a romantic evening. Good wine, good food, good atmosphere, great service.

One of the best meals in Costa Rica, and definitely the best during our Carribean-side tour of Costa Rica. I had the marlin and my partner had the Tokyo Tuna. Tokyo Tuna is a must.

One MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS here. You will be turned away if you don't have one.

Ate here twice during our 7 day stay in puerto viejo. After the first time, we directly made a reservation for our last night in puerto viejo to eat there as well :)

Make a reservation, as you'll otherwise be disappointed! It is as small restaurant, which is good, but this and the nr 1 position make it necessary!

As we stayed in puerto viejo 1 week and ate in different restaurants (see other reviews), this restaurant deserves the number 1 spot!

Everything we ate was excellent (shrimps and chicken as starter, homemade pizza, pasta, dorade filet, brownie and advocado pie). Service from owners is excellent as well. And they have good wine. Nice location!

Prices are a little bit higher than other restaurants in town, but definitely worth it. To give an indication: it costed us about $60 (incl tip) dollars (2 perdons: shared starter and shared dessert, 2 main courses and couple of drinks, including wine and coffee. A fine price for a good night out!

Food was fantastic in a beautiful setting...sorry we found it on the last night of our stay instead of our first.
