Absolutely loved this!!!! Went ziplining through a beautiful rainforest in C.R. with my husband and 75 year old parents! Highly recommend this place, the guides are very nice, patient and extremely careful. Safety is 1st with them. We all felt very safe and secure. The place is absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking scenery. What I liked the most was the amazing feeling you get as you're "flying" through the rainforest canopy. There was nothing I didn't like about the whole experience. Wear comfortable clothing, like if you're going for a walk/hike, I recommend pants just because of mosquitoes/insects, tennis shoes, take bug repelant and spray yourself before getting strapped in. They discourage taking you're camera with you but if you wear clothes that has zippered pockets, they'll allow you to take your camera at your own risk. The whole visit was about 1-1 1/2 hours. Once you're done they have fresh fruit and water for you at the exit. They also offer horseback riding.

We booked a tour of Limon, which included ziplining at Jungle Breeze, through tour guide Danilo Hall (email: adventure_caribbean@yahoo.com; no website). I had read about Danilo on a cruise website and booked him through his email. We stopped in Limon as part of a Caribbean cruise.

Danilo picked us up at the port and basically took us all over Limon. Five minutes in, he pulled over his van to the side of a road and pointed to a sloth hanging out in a tree (I don't know how he spotted it -- I needed binoculars to see it at first). While we were looking at the sloth, a bus filled with cruise passengers went whizzing by -- I knew we made the right choice to book independently. Danilo then took us to a group of trees that were inhabited by howler monkeys. During the whole tour, Danilo talked about Limon, its history, its people and its animals. He was so knowledgeable, and he seemed to know everyone in Costa Rica. On our way to Jungle Breeze, we stopped at a fruit stand and tried the most amazing fresh fruit -- no charge. We also stopped at the local banana plantation.

One person in our group of four didn't want to zipline, so she stayed with Danilo while the rest of us headed to the forest. Jungle Breeze www.junglebreeze.com was very nice. We were assigned to guides (two young men who were with us the whole time). After a brief intro and safety demonstration, we took a small bus up into the forest. The guides made us feel safe the whole time, and they looked for creatures to show us (including a couple of colorful tree frogs). At the top of one platform, they pointed out a sloth that was no more than 2 feet away. Ziplining was so fun, and the views were amazing.

After the ziplining, Danilo showed us more of Limon, then stopped to buy us local beers to sample and brought us to a beautiful beach.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this tour. All our guides spoke perfect English, were incredibly friendly and knew so much about their home. We paid $65/person for those who ziplined, $25 for the person who didn't. I've recommended Danilo and Jungle Breeze to everyone I know who is visiting Limon.

While on a cruise that took us to Puerto Limon we had quite an adventure doing the zipline at The Jungle Breeze. There are 12 "runs" on this zipline through the jungle. Some are very fast and some are very "close" to the trees which gives you the "thrill" that you might crash into them - but fear not - everything is safety first and the trees are far enough away that you won't hit them. We booked this as part of a tour with Your Lucky Tour in Puerto Limon so I do not know what cab fare would be to get to Brislas de la Jungla (The Jungle Breeze) on your own. We did not do the horseback riding or jungle trail tour. The employees at The Jungle Breeze were very friendly, spoke excellent English and very safety conscious. When we reached the bottom they had water and fresh bananas waiting for us. This was our first zipline experience so I cannot compare to any others but I can say we had a great time and would do it again.
