We booked white water rafting with Eduardo while stopping in Costa Rica on a cruise in March. Eduardo was exceptional with communication and returned my emails promptly. He met us at the cruise terminal and was very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend booking your Puerto Limon tour with Eduardo, you won't be dissapointed!

I booked this based on the reviews on TA and was not disappointed! The great experience started online with Eduardo. He was very fast at responding and was open to customizing our day. He met us just outside the ship terminal, as planned and we joined our guide Eugene for a private day! Eugene was great and told us all sorts of interesting things about Costa Rica and even his family. We toured the Rainforest and had lunch then my husband and daughter zip-lined. They said is was awesome and the people were great. My mother was along so we didn't zip but instead wandered around the rainforest somemore then met them at the end and even got to see them zip in! We then went on a canal tour, again just the 4 of us and our boat guide Ferdinand. He was fantastic too. He could pick out a green iguana on a green plant 20 feet away!! It was a lovely day...a highlight of our cruise.

We joined a tour which had been organised by someone on our Equinox Cruise. It sounded good - did the things we wanted to do - and the price was right. We really did get lucky with this tour.

We had the wonderful Max as our guide, very informative, great fun and nothing too much trouble for him. In fact the tour took longer than anticipated as he was so keen to make sure we saw everything.

We packed such a lot into the day and everyone involved in the tour - the bus driver, the zipline crew, our guide on the canals, the lovely ladies at the fruit stall (and of course Max) - did their best to make sure we got the most out of our day and were all so keen for us to enjoy their country. Eduardo was on hand in several locations making sure everything was running smoothly. Contrary to some reports, although we visited on a Saturday the banana plantation was up and running.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting on a cruise ship.

Booked this private tour while on a Celebrity Equinox cruise after reading Tripadvisor reviews. Eduardo Humphreys and his staff met us at the entrance to the port and with six others in a comfortable van we were off. Our guide, a personable and informative young lady said we were off to a local fruit stand where we could have free samples of local fruit. On the way she stopped the van where we witnessed a group of howler monkeys that she coaxed to call to us. At the fruit stand the ladies were greeted by the children with exquisite flowers for their hair, The stand had several huge bunches of banana varieties, papaya, cocoa beans, coconuts all cut and ready for tasting. We had a lecture on the varieties of local herbs and spice bushes on the property. Next we visited a banana plantation for a well described tour. Then off to the docks for a tour on the Tortuguero Canal. In small motorized boats we experienced bird varieties, monkeys, cayman ,iguanas, sloths and a variety of local plants. The highlight of the tour was a sloth we discovered swimming from the edge of the canal to the semi-submerged branch of a nearby fallen tree. I was able to get a video of this apparently seldom seen occurance. The boat driver was wonderful in spotting the wildlife and without being asked slowed, backed and stopped the boat often to allow us to get great photos. Before returning to the ship we went coffee shopping. Not at the duty free shops at the cruise terminal but at an in-town supermarket in Puerto Limon. Our guide came with us to describe the various varieties and helped us with the exchange rate, Dealing with Eduardo by e-mail (yourluckytour@gmail.com) was a breeze. I thought I was becoming a pain in the butt by continuing to ask more detailed questions but he was always prompt and friendly in his replies. Everything he conveyed to us was honest and accurate. The tour price was very fair (paid at the end) and less than the tours offered by the ship. One of the top tours of our 11 day, 6 port cruise.

Booked independently with Your Lucky Tours. Eduardo from the tour company was waiting for us outside of the cruise terminal as promised. Our tour was $45 a person which was very reasonable and there were only six of us on the tour. We had stopped at a local fruit stand where we got to try fingerling bananas which are smaller than average and sweeter than normal. Our next stop was at the Del Monte banana plantation which was really fascinating. We got to learn the process of harvesting bananas and were amazed with the enormous amount of manual labor involved. We then stopped for a boat tour at the Tortuguero Canals where we got to see quite a few animal varieties: sloths, iguanas and birds. Finally we stopped at Playa Bonita for pictures on the beach as well as an overlook of the city. The wonderful thing about booking through an independent company, besides the small tour sizes, was the fact that we made a couple of impromptu stops when they noticed howler monkeys in the trees or when we passed ylang ylang trees to smell the blossoms. In addition, Eduardo took us to a grocery store in the city where we stopped for coffee, candy and salsa shopping. He advised us of all of the best brands to purchase before bringing us back to the ship. Absolutely great value and highly recommended!
