“Great place to see wildlife close up”
Reviewed April 2, 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and got an opportunity to get up close and personal with monkeys and sloths (so cute). Wonderful thing they are doing to help animals get well and reintroducing them into the wild. Got to see also all kinds of reptiles (chose not to get too up close and personal). Incredible pond for regenerating frog species and lots of beautiful flora to see. Well worth the visit.

...place to see local wildlife being very well cared for as well as local native plants. A relaxing way to spend a few hours in the Cahuita area.

“Off the beaten path rescue center”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

Tree of Life is a far walk from the center of town - I suggest going by bike. That being said, it was a really nice little rescue center, with adorable monkeys playing on "monkey island" and interesting plants.

We got there before they opened, but the owner opened the doors for us about 15 minutes early. She have us a private tour and explained the rich plant life around the center. This is a good activity if you are staying in Cahuita for a little while.
