I visited San José, Costa Rica for rest and relaxation purpose only. In order to accomplish my desire I chose Wyndham San Jose Herradura near to airport. I found very kindly people in the front desk, who help me in the check-in process, because I arrived several hours early and request a room far away from the noise, and they gave me a quiet room near to the swimming pool. Excelente service and very kindly people.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel, enjoyed the great breakfast with wide variety a d the facilities provided. we would love to be here again. the rooms are equipped with a private jequsi that was great to finish a day with.

It seems like it was a luxury hotel 20 years ago that was superficially updated. Our first room (second floor with no elevator) had a very strong smell of mold. Complained and got moved to a different room with slightly less smell (with a "disguising" smell of sprey). Room was large. Had to sleep with the window open because of the smell. Had to leave early morning before the included breakfast and was given a "take away" breakfast including: x1 apple, x1 orange juice, x1 roll...

I've run a congress in this hotel in April 2017. The congress service, facilities, food and staff are great.
Unfortunately the rooms are a bit old. However they are still ok for a couple of nights but unconfortable for a long stay.
Conference meeting rooms are also old. They should be renovated as soon as possible. However the staff kindness and attention to the client are fantastic. They try to solve any situation that will occur as soon as possible!

The people that work at this hotel are amazing. I would like to give a shout to Luis Zunigo who works at the Tropicata Restaurant in the Hotel. He went out of his way to serve us and make us feel so welcome along with the waiters in the restaurant. Highly recommend this place.

- we were promised a newly renovated room and when we got there they acted as if they did not know what we were talking about. - rooms were extremely old and not clean - definitely NOT 4 star accommodations like we were told ... more like 2 stars - no wash cloths in the room - had to change rooms because the tub in the first room was falling apart and the window would not close - new room was not that much better - A/C never cooled down the room - no shower curtain so the floor go soaked when we showered - drain in the sink would not drain the water - furniture was stained and linens smelled like mold - rooms were dirty so we didn't dare to eat there for breakfast - would NOT recommend staying here
