“BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2010

Let me first say CON MUCHO GUSTO to Tanya and her staff for making our vacation the best ever! I was blown away with the quality, location size, service and excellent amenities that Casa Sueca has to offer!! We went down for our friends wedding and Tanya ensured our stay went off without a hitch! I just got home this afternoon and want to go back already!! Tamarindo Beach is a great place with excellent beaches, awesome food and lots of great beach restaurants and bars! The Margaritas are the best I ever had! We went Zip lining arranged through our neighbor and it was awesome!! This place has double cables which make it very safe and it rates as the best I ever seen. The catamarand was excellent, bring lots of sunscreen! lol Ask Tanya for assistance for tours!

In closing, Casa Sueca blew me away with the high level of cleanliness, courteous staff and awesome location! The pool was perfect and Eduardo became a great amigo to us!

Tanya and her Staff did everything in their power to make our stay most enjoyable and thier professionalism is first class! We all miss Casa Sueca and the new friends we made and will hopefully return soon!!
LOVE YA GUYS!

Casa Sueca is a comfortable house in a great location. Directly across the street is the entrance to the beach. The new owner made serious improvements to this house and my kids enjoyed the pool day and night. The care taker Tanya was helpful and accommodating, she gave us good travel and restaurant advice. The rooms where clean and the sheets and towels where brand new. The rooms also had a kitchenette, so we shopped at the local grocery and cooked a lot. We were also allowed to use the washer and dryer and BBQ by the pool, as needed. We where the only the customers there at the time we stayed, so it felt like a private house. Overall it was a great vacation for my family and surfer husband.
PS they also had sand toys and boogie boards for kids.

We love small hotels and B&Bs--we don't care for large resorts where we are treated like a number--and Casa Sueca provides the beauty and high standars of a large resort with the personalized service one can only get at a small hotel.

The pool is AMAZING, the rooms are impeccably clean and enormous, and the value for the dollar is just unsurpassed.

We will definitely be going back!

We stayed at Casa Sueca with our two kids (5 and 7 years old) for two weeks and we had a great time. The location is great - 30 meter walk to the beach through a path covered with trees that have monkeys on them; it is a very nice beach for swimming or boogie boarding; we had nice walks on the beach during low tide to see the fish and observe other wonders of earth. The tamarindo village is very close and we had dinners at various restaurants that we enjoyed. We are planning our next trip there next year and we will return to Casa Sueca!

My husband and I stayed at the Casa Sueca from Feb. 14-20, 2009 and absolutely loved it! The new owners have put in a lovely pool and the grounds and rooms are private and tasteful. The property is located at the far south end of Tamarindo, about 10 minutes down the beach by foot. We learned the first morning that the dirt road into town is the worst way to get into town, and the walk down the beach is more pleasant (remember to bring a flashlight if you are walking at night). The Sueca has comfortable suites with wood plank ceilings, TV's, AC and fans, great patios, and kitchenettes (there are a couple of grocery stores in town). We liked being away from the noise and dust of Tamarindo circle, and as there was only one other studio occupied during the week we stayed at the Sueca, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our hosts, Oded and Shira, were attentive and helpful, and set the tone of a very easy-going vacation retreat. We liked that this is a place without wasteful daily maid service or a restaurant downstairs (no need - the Hotel Capitan Suizo is literally next door and we grabbed breakfast and drinks there a few times). Oded and Shira provided us with valuable tips and help locating activities and services in town, and we loved the friendly connections they have with locals. We spent long days lounging around the pool, saw a family of monkeys in some trees at the edge of the property, and had quiet evenings in this residential part of town. If you want to take surfing lessons, ask for the neighbor, Kevin -- he is a great instructor!

Hi, I must really say that I was glad to see a positive review online. and as the new owner, I would like to invite you back. There have been a couple of changes such as a new pool but still the same loving care. that makes casa sueca such a great getaway. I would even like to offer you a couple of free nights for your next stay.
