“Fantastic trip!!!!”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We went on the catamaran/snorkel trip and it was awesome! We have 3 kids ages 11-16 and they made the trip fun for everyone. There were young and older couples without kids and families with kids of all ages. We saw dolphins and rode with them for awhile as well. Plenty of good food and drinks for everyone and music to make it like a party on the water! The crew of Taca, Ken, Yasser, Alex, Jr., Felipe, and Mama Hellen behind the bar truly cared that everyone was having fun. We would recommend the trip for families of any age or stage!

“fantastic cruise- worth every penny!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

The boat is huge and the crew does a great job keeping it clean the entire trip. Leo, Mama Helen, Alex and Taka take good care of all the passengers. I can not say enough about the whole experience and I have a hard time thinking any of the other boats are better then the Marlin del Rey. The food is great and we loved the Pina colda's and daquari's they were delicious! Loved that the captian (with the help of the crew) chased down the school of dolphin, they dolphin swam with the boat for quite a while, very cool! This will be a great memory for our family.

“A GREAT day on the water!”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We booked our Marlin Del Rey Sailing Tour via the TAM rep at the Riu Guanacaste Hotel. Wise suggestion on their part. We are a family of 4 with 2 adult children in their 20's. We all LOVED this cruise and would highly recommend it!
We were picked up at our hotel by a van from the Marlin Del Rey and were transported to Coco Beach. We gathered with others on the shore with others, then were taken to their newest boat, the "Marlin", a 54' catamaran that can hold up to 90. The day we were there there only 25 people which made for a VERY pleasant experience.
We were given an orientation to the boat by one of the crew members who then introduced us to the rest of the wonderful crew.
The bar was well-stocked and the crew was very prompt in preparing drinks and cleaning up after us. Music played on the deck at all times which added to the festive environment.
Our cruise started with us motoring for the first hour and a half due to the wind direction. Along the way we saw a number of dolphins playing near the boat. We passed "Monkey Rock" that really does look like a gorilla head! The scenery was delightful. We eventually arrived at a secluded cove where we anchored. Most of the passengers hopped in the water to snorkel and/or swim to a beautiful white sand beach. The water was GORGEOUS! The crew prepared a delicious lunch for us which included some GREAT guacamole, BBQ chicken, salads, and cut fresh fruits.
We then set sail, turned down the music and watched the sun set beneath the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Breathtaking!
Our captain was GREAT. My husband spent a good portion with him on the bridge learning about the boat and the area. I spent time chatting with Jonathan who was a ton of fun!
Food, drinks, and snorkeling gear were included in the price.
Bring your own towels.

We had a great time on the Sunset Cruise! Our entire family snorkled, enjoyed the food and drinks and the entertainment from your crew. Ken from Cleveland was fantastic, Alex made us laugh and we really enjoyed our time on the water. Thank you and you will be highly recommended! The sunset was amazing!
