My positive experience first started before I even arrived in Tamarindo- Marcela was more than helpful via email in arranging a shuttle for me from Liberia. This was my first time traveling solo, and it was comforting to know that there was someone going out of their way to help me at the hostel. I arrived fairly late in the evening but found a very clean and spacious private room waiting for me.. with A/C! There is a safe for your passport and various items, though it is not actually bolted down, just sitting on the table. I guess they are banking that a thief would rather not walk around with an incriminating safe lol. In reguards to safety the hostel is extremely safe and has a front gate that is locked at night which contributes to a secure feeling. Another feature that I loved was that the hostel itself is located on the edge of town so at night you are not kept up by loud bars if you have to go to sleep early. In addition, Marcela helped to arrange a local snorkle and turtle tour for me and all I had to do was show up! In the end, this was a great hostel with people that care and want to help make your stay the best possible. Will definitly stay here in the future!
