The view of the sunset from this restaurant was amazing. My son (21) and I (41-mom) loved it so much that we went back the next night. Our server was Henry and we loved him. He has a great personality. The first day we had drinks and ceviche. The drinks were generous and the ceviche very fresh and tasty. The second night we decided on lobster and a filet as well as a shrimp tempora tapas. All great choices but a lot of food for 2. I have to admit my lobster was a bit powdery in texture but the flavors and sauces were very good. The filet was perfectly cooked and the tempura were amazing as well. The second night happened to be Friday night. When we arrived for dinner there was a 4 string band playing music to a black and white film. The music dated back to that time era and progressed. It was very interesting. After that concluded, a group of fire dancers came out and performed on the beach. Great food, great service, great view, great entertainment.

This is one of the best places we found directly on Tamarindo beach for relaxing with cold cocktails, a wonderful view, and some great seafood. We popped in here 2 or 3 times within a few weeks, and always felt right at home. With our toes in the sand, steps to the ocean, nowhere to be and lucky enough to see some absolutely stunning sunsets – we love this place. Don’t skip it!

This restaurant is located on the beach near the circle in Tamarindo. Service was prompt, and food was judged very good but not spectacular by our group, prices were fair to high, Interesting wine choices. It is certainly in the top tier of Tamarindo restaurants and is worth a visit during your stay.

We loved La Palapa, we went twice in the week we stayed. You eat under palm trees in the sand right next to the ocean. There are fire throwers and bands that come througout your meal, which make it really cool. Service is great, they work their butt off there to make you happy and are open to making changes in meals (Henry is the man). The guacamole was the best I ever had, and so were the quesadillas. Tuna steak and Mahi Scampi was delicious. Both nights we all loved all of our meals. Prices are reasonable. Entrees $15-$25 and apps $7-$15 ish. Both nights we went it was $40-$50 a couple.
