“Great guides, awesome zipline, horseback, lunch and extrad”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

See my review on Costa Rica, Capitan Suizo as well - tour group was recommended through our resort.

Great for zipline because it's 600 feet up (my first time, was terrified, fine after first run because a grandma was doing it as well) - you see wonderful things; went horseback riding, ziplining, lunch in canopy cafe, mud bath, natural spa, volcanic mud fresh from the area, impromptu addition of sugar cane product by local - just went out of their way and felt safe the entire time. Go with a reputable place because there's a lot of non regulation in CR, EcoTrans could not have done anything more to exceed our expectations. Thank you!

“So much fun!!!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This was one of the best tours we had ever done! We had 19 out of our group or 29 do this and not one person was disappointed! The zip lining was amazing, the horses were so sweet and gentle and fun to ride, the lunch was absolutely delicious and the hot springs were very relaxing. I would love to do this again! Thank you to our tour guide Laura from hotelbeds.

“Best Tour ever!”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We visited Buena Vista on Christmas Day. Their were 9 of us in our group. 5 kids (15, 14, 12, 11 & 7yrs) This was one very fun filled day. The tour is exacted 2 hours from Tamarindo. Our driver made one stop 1/2 way to get snacks and go to the bathroom. Once we arrived, we were greeted from the staff with a nice cold glass of lemonade. From there we all got on horses for a 40 minute ride to the hot springs. The kids loved riding the horses. The horses were very well behaved. Once we arrived to the hot springs, we first covered ourselves in mud. Let it dry and rinsed ourselves off with cold water. Next, you get to spend 1 hour or so in the various hot springs! Afterwards, they took us in a large John Deere tractor trailer to a wonderful buffet costa rican style lunch. After lunch we did the zip line tour. 10 zip lines!! The staff is very friendly and professional. During the zip line tour, we saw a snake below us and a couple of howler monkey families. We finished the day off with a really fast long water slide in the middle of the jungle. It must have been 1/2 mile long. Watch the youtube video!! The tour finished and we were back to Tamarindo by 6pm. Pick up time that morning was 7:30am. Even though it was a long day, it was the best tour ever. We all would highly recommend it. The only suggestion I have for the company is to sell Buena Vista t-shirts for a souvenir. It would be good marketing too.

“Eco Trans BUena Vista Canopy & Natural Spa Tour”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

* Zip lines were awesome! The guides were Fun and Experienced so I felt safe and had a blast!
* The volcanic mud bath was fun and made my skin feel great
* The natural hot spring was soothing and looking up to see monkeys in the trees looking down at me was cool
* The hike to the waterfall was a great adventure and it was awesome when we finally found it - well worth the the hike!
* The buffet lunch was delicious
* The butterfly exhibit was closed because they were in between evloving from catepillar's to butterflies in December but we saw a few blue butterflies when we were hiking to the waterfall and several others that were bright yellow, red and these transparent butterflies that you only see when they are flying
* The tractor down to the hot springs is a bumpy ride but we saw iguanas, monkeys and horses along the way for some fun pictures you can also horseback ride down the hill, which is probably funner than the tractor
* We saw a giant spider as big as my head on a rock when we were hiking - it was black, hairy and had long legs - yikes!

“Awesome and exciting!”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

Everyone had a great time on this day of adventure, teens and parents! We ziplined...I was so scared but I did it and now I am so happy I did!! I would do it again. The kids were hanging upside down by the end. Went on a crazy water slide down the mountain and then had a simple Costa Rican buffet lunch. Finally we rode horses to the mud baths and hot springs. We relaxed in the hot springs for a while and had a cocktail. Taking the tractor back from the hot springs to leave we saw a lot of Howler monkeys. Everyone seriously loved it! We went on a private tour with 8 people and I would recommend this because we had no timeline other than our own...we could stop wherever and whenever we wanted. Everything was included for the entire day for one price and we booked it through Swiss Travel at the Westin with Karla. Emilio drove and Walter was our guide. Walter spoke perfect English and knew everything about Costa Rica. They were terrific!
