“Busy”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

Ok beach. Was crowded and really windy when we were there. Avenelles and Flamingo are nicer. It is a great spot to learn to surf if it isnt too busy.

“Terrific beach”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

The beach here is very long and the waves are big. Excellent to body surfing, that is if you don"t have a surf board. There are many nice bar/restaurants along the beach but it is not dirty or shabby I love that they dont use plactic cups here so there is no garbage on the beach There are however alot of loose dogs that will do their business anywhere.,so be carefull of mounds in the sand! Young crowd and friendly people from all over the world.

“Nice Beach”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Hotel Dira and the Patagonia make this beach town very nice for couples, but I don't think the town itself is where I would take children. Lots of pot and people costantly trying to sell you something like Mexico. I did like going to watch the turtle lay their eggs and the whales in the harbor were an added bonus.

“Something for Everyone on this beach”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

When tide is low, rock create a perfect area for toddlers and the older crowd to lay in the water and not have to fight the waves. If you walk to the South there is plenty of open waves with no rocks. Lots of surfers in the evening. Very clean beach, white sand. Any of the restaurants are happy to share their seating weather you buy drinks/food or not. Lagosta Beach Club will also rent out loungers and use of the pool very cheap. They didn't charge us since we didn't use the pool. The local beach vendors are frequent, but a quick no thanks and they are moving on. It seems they are all related and if you take time to talk to them, you will find them very friendly and humble people. That is half the adventure of going to another country is getting to know the locals.
