My family and I ate at the falafel bar while we were in Tamarindo. The Pitas were the highlight of the meal, fantastic. The falafel was also very good, and the chicken shwarma tasted good, but my daughter got a piece of something really hard inside of hers. We really aren't sure what it was, so that kind of turned us off. And the hummus was also good, but compared to everything on the menu, it was overpriced.

Authentic falafel, shwarma, Mediterranean salads; the frozen mint lemonade is perfect for the midday heat. Spent the week in tamarindo, and we went back 3 times for lunch! The pita bread is baked on site and I think it's the best I've tasted, ever! Priced reasonably.

First time we visited Tamarindo about 3 years ago we stumbled upon the Falafel Bar and had been craving it ever since! Since our first visit they have added an additional location, so now there are 2 in town. The bread is made when you order your meal, so you know its fresh. The homemade lemonaide is to die for- it has fresh mint in it and has the consistency of a slushy! If you are into trying new and delicious food definitely check this place out! They make the best falafels I have ever had.
