The Home Owner has been exceptionally responsive and helpful. Love the house- would book some othe way.
Booking through Trip Advisor is a nightmare. First of all their fine print disclaims responsibility. The actual Agent is FlipKey whose booking fee [hundreds of dollars] is non-refundable after 24 hours.
Trip Advisor's system has lost all the financial info after I paid the deposit.
I came with a group of girlfriends at the end of September 2016 into October. There were five of us and we had the best time! The house is beautiful and you couldn't ask for better views. Heavenly sunsets every night! The pool was ideal -- with the shallow areas at each end for lounging and a not-too-deep stretch in the middle for floating around. We had all the comforts of home, too: fully stocked kitchen, laundry, a/c. It's a gated home inside a gated community; we felt secluded and out-of-the-way but also really safe. Location was also perfect: just a short drive to town and the beach. Get yourself an all-wheel drive SUV (with GPS) to get up that driveway/hill!
This is a beautiful house, set high on a hill with views across fields and continuing all the way to the ocean in the distance. We took a walk down the private road that it's situated on and saw several different types of monkeys in the trees. The house itself is incredible. Each room has a large bathroom suite attached. The kitchen is well equipped and feeds out to a large covered outdoor living space at the end of which is the pool. We loved everything about it.
Lovely home, comfortable, impeccably clean, magnificent views. A little off the beaten track - 20 minutes to the town of Tamarindo - and you absolutely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get there.
I was absolutely in love with this house! Beautiful secluded/gated community with wildlife all around! We heard the monkeys several times while we were there, not to mention the gorgeous home. I didn't want to leave!
We stayed a week in Playa Grande and then a week at the Palm House. Both different experiences but getting away up into the hills to the Palm House was fantastic. Extremely beautiful location, setting and property. Very nice houskeeper who was a fantastic cook when we asked for her services. All of the communication with the owner/manager was great and easy. The cabana/pool area was the best part of our stay. Would highly recommend this property.

This is the ultimate vacation in a beautiful country of Costa Rica. House is super contemporary and open. Not too big and not too small, easily fit family of 5, but 10 could sleep in if needed. All amenities and maid service...which we did not even need, we are not very spoiled and maintained this gorgeous house easily as everything has its place and there is no crowding. However the maid was a wonderful person and cooked for us and we shared lunches and drinks with her almost every day, sometimes we cooked, sometimes she did. Pool area is so pristine and green/turquoise water is refreshingly cooler than the ocean. Roads are a bit dusty and very steep to come into the gated community, but we only had a weak rav4 and did fine...stick shift is a must, though for these hilly bad roads. We had a complete privacy and about 15-20min. Drive to Tamarindo a cute little beach town....about 2h to Nosara and about 5h to Manuel Antonio NP. This home is truly a gem and we will definitely come back. Monkeys are visible every day, beautiful birds and star gazers are in heaven with no pollution to night sky. The only weird thing is that sun sets at 6pm....equator is really close...so 12h of daylight is all you get...we got used to it real quick and enjoyed getting up at 5:30 and fell asleep way earlier than back at home in US. Activities are endless, we went snorkeling and zip lining...zip line is a walking distance from the home!!! 7 zip lines in one spot...awesome thrill. Beaches are so clean and beautiful and people are friendly. We met people who experienced theft from their car at the beach but everyone knows this is risky and no one should leave any valuables...especially passports anywhere in the vehicle. This happened in a daylight too. The home feels very secure and has a safe in the bedroom so all the stuff is 100% ok to leave. We however did not lock almost anything....only if we went out for the entire day. This could go on for hours......nothing bad to say at all...except maybe when you have children...it is a very slick anywhere on the floor, they are all concrete..beautiful, warm, clean....but a killer with wet feet...we flew couple of times....and it sucks to wear slippers...as concrete feels so nice on feet...but slippery as I said. One of the best vacations I ever took...and I have been to hundreds of places all over the states and Europe.....you can hardly beat this.
