“Monkey Park Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

My Husband and I went to this park and enjoyed our visit very much, the animals were well cared for and I was pleased to know that as many of them as possible are being cared for until they can be released back to their natural habitat, the caretakers go to extreme lengths to make every attempt to care for, but the ultimate desire is that they get back to nature!

The place is clean and fun for an afternoon!

“Nice place that needs money to upkeep”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Monkey park was 3 Km's from our rental house. The park is big and has many nice species. Spectacular birds, monkeys, boar, Alligator, and Deer. The place needs more money and more volunteers. They are trying to help the wild life. Needs us tourists to stop by and donate.

“This is more than just a "Monkey Park"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

The Monkey Park is in fact more than just a zoo-type facility since it also rescues injured animals and birds and after recouperation introduces them back into the wild when it is possible. We feel that this aspect of the Park is well worth mentioning.

We found there to be quite a number of birds and other animals in the park and therefore we feel that the name is abit of a misnomer, but we found the park to be well worth visiting. We went to the Park with a local friend who acted as our guide. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.

“A place to help animals, not a fancy zoo!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

This IS a place for serious animal lovers who want to help, in fact as a part time resident of Costa Rica my hope is to volunteer there and do everything I can do to help. These are animals that have come from so called "zoos" that have lived in deplorable conditions, these are animals that uninformed gringos think they can raise at home and make into domesticated pets, these are hurt and injured animals that would never have had a chance in the wild. This is a place of great humanitarians who believe wild animals should live in their natural habitats and they need our help. So please, if you are in the area, stop by, pay your $15.00 or more if you can and be thankful for these selfless people who want nothing more than to help these animals live in world where they can be free and happy.
