My wife and I have just completed a 2 week stay with Gary and Jolene at Villa Andalucia. It is a special place and we would recommend it to other couples looking for a retreat or romantic getaway but do not care for the hoopla of big chain hotels and all inclusive resorts. We were able to cook our own meals, bikes are provided, and we met another couple here who we enjoyed time with. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure your experience is special.

Hmmmm - where do I start..... Okay, I'll start by saying that in 10 years of vacation rentals on VRBO that this is the best property we've ever stayed! And it definitely goes further - Gary and Jolene's hospitality is unsurpassed. They truly go the extra mile - Gary gave us an intro tour of Tamarindo - so very helpful since we were only there for a few days. Villa Andalucia was such a great place to come home to – we enjoyed lounging by the pool and Maria’s breakfasts were fabulous! They suggested we take the drive down to Lola’s – it was such a great place to spend a lazy Sunday…. If you are going to Tamarindo you must stay here!

We can't imagine a better place to stay in Tamarindo than with Gary and Jolene at Villa Andalucia. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful view, a delicious breakfast and a day full of amazing beaches and fun-filled outings. From riding horses, to snorkeling to playing pool with the locals and eating beach side with the setting sun and crashing waves in the background, every day gave us lasting memories that we'll never forget. Gary and Jolene were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. We can't recommend Villa Andalucia enough.

We can't say enough about Villa Anadalucia. My wife and I stumbled upon this place by sheer luck. Honestly, Gary and Jolene were absolutely wonderful. If you want a place to stay where the owners treat you like family (if you like) or leave you completely alone (if you prefer) this is the place for you. Stunningly designed, decorated and maintained this Andalucia is an oasis in Tamarindo. Gary will take you on a tour of the best places to eat (and introduce you to the owners) while Jolene will help you with everything from things to do to solving issues with airlines. Gary even drove us to the airport and waited with us to ensure we got on the plane. There are two suites, one with a queen and a larger room with a king. We stayed in the queen room which has a great view onto the pool. Very highly recommended.

It was the greatest experience I have has in a long time. Jolene & Gary were the best hosts & we enjoyed talking to them as well as the other quests. Must go back to do the snorking with Brookes. Loved Ginger and Shadow.

Villa Andalucia is a truly rare find. From the moment we were picked up at the airport until the time we were taken back we enjoyed 5 star treatment from Gary and Jolene, our amazing hosts. They treat their guests like family and are a wealth of information on the Tamarindo area. Our casita was beautiful and had every amenity we could ask for. And Maria's breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The garden and pool areas are the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. We were a five minute walk to the restaurants, shopping, grocery store and beach. Gary and Jolene provide boogie boards and bikes so we never ran out of things to do. And Brooks took us out for a wonderful day of fishing and snorkelling. This place is truly a slice of heaven. The thing we didn't love was having to leave!! We can't wait to return!!!

Sometimes in life you stumble on things that give you a glimpse of how things would be if life was perfect. This was the case with my fiancé and my stay at Villa Andalucia. When we return to Costa rica we will absolutely be back. From the moment we arrived to the day we left kicking and screaming back to the states we felt like family and were treated like royalty. Words cannot express how pleased we were with our accommodations and the friendship we started with Gary & Jolene. The only thing that was disappointing about villa Andalucia was having to leave. This is a amazing value and accommodations provided by two of the most most interesting and amazing people I have met. If you are reading this stop and just book your stay, you will not be dissatisfied.
