“Perfect paradise!!!”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

Villa Andalucia is a truly rare find. From the moment we were picked up at the airport until the time we were taken back we enjoyed 5 star treatment from Gary and Jolene, our amazing hosts. They treat their guests like family and are a wealth of information on the Tamarindo area. Our casita was beautiful and had every amenity we could ask for. And Maria's breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The garden and pool areas are the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. We were a five minute walk to the restaurants, shopping, grocery store and beach. Gary and Jolene provide boogie boards and bikes so we never ran out of things to do. And Brooks took us out for a wonderful day of fishing and snorkelling. This place is truly a slice of heaven. The thing we didn't love was having to leave!! We can't wait to return!!!

Sometimes in life you stumble on things that give you a glimpse of how things would be if life was perfect. This was the case with my fiancé and my stay at Villa Andalucia. When we return to Costa rica we will absolutely be back. From the moment we arrived to the day we left kicking and screaming back to the states we felt like family and were treated like royalty. Words cannot express how pleased we were with our accommodations and the friendship we started with Gary & Jolene. The only thing that was disappointing about villa Andalucia was having to leave. This is a amazing value and accommodations provided by two of the most most interesting and amazing people I have met. If you are reading this stop and just book your stay, you will not be dissatisfied.

We had the pleasure of staying at V Andalucia for 4 nights in March based on other TA reviews and are extremely glad we did. Gary and Jolene's priority is to ensure your stay is comfortable and that you enjoy Tamarindo and the area. They are the perfect hosts and make you feel so welcome. We relied heavily on their advice for what to do during the days and which restaurants to visit and would recommend others do the same. Langosta beach club, Lola's, the Fiesta, surf lessons with their son Brooks to name a few. Our dinner at Nibbana was unbelievable. They take extreme pride in their property and we as guests reap the benefit! Maria's breakfasts are as fantastic as other posters state. Our only concern is that if too many people find out about this place, availability might be an issue for when we plan our next visit!

Our week stay at Villa Andalucia was beyond our expectations. Gary & Jolene are perfect hosts.
Their suggestions of what to see, do and where to eat were great. Our room had everything we could possible need and was beautifuly decorated and comfortable. They provided bicycles which allowed to us to take early morning rides to see the monkeys near-by and ride on the beach.
The gourmet breakfasts were delicious. We would highly recommend staying here for a great vacation.

Though words can not adequately express the gracious hospitality at Villa Andalucia, I must try. Gary & Jolene have truly created 'a home away from home' for the travelers that come their way. Our stay with them has generated memories that stay, visions that will never fade, & friendships that will last a lifetime. We were taken in as if we were close friends from the moment we arrived. G & J are a pair of B & B angels, a breath of fresh air for the weary traveller. As others have said, the accomodations are top-notch. We may have left Costa Rica weeks ago, but I still taste Maria's yummy breakfasts & can hear Gary & Jolene's voices & laughter long after we parted. Everything they do shows they love the life they have chosen; the hardest part of our trip was leaving Casa Andalucia. But we know we'll return someday. Pura Vida!

We stayed with Gary and Jolene last year as part of a 2 week romp through Costa Rica and vowed we would return. When we learned that the daughter of friends was getting married close to Tamarindo, we quickly booked a week here. Ah h h h. . . ..what a lovely, wonderful week we had, but we're still not satisfied. Next time it will be longer!!!

Villa Andalucia provides 5 star accommodation in each of their 2 casitas. We've stayed in the one close to the pool and we love it. Not only is this spot a bed and breakfast (made daily by the incomparable Maria), but each casita features a complete kitchen. We cooked in a bit, but why did we do that??!! There are so many terrific places locally to eat or get take-out. Gary and Jolene will steer you in the right direction or take you there themselves.

A few highlights of our week. . .two trips to the original Lola's and one to Lola's Norte, a night out at the fiesta, a shared red snapper at the Voodoo Lounge, two lunches at Las Palmas. Geez, it sounds like all we did was eat! Yes, we did, and we also walked and swam. But I'm back on WW now that I'm home!

When I have a b&b (in my next life), I want to grow up to be just like Gary and Jolene. . .the perfect hosts, wonderful friends, and truly warm and caring folks.

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Andalucia for 5 nights. Although we have never stayed at a bed and breakast before, after reading the numerous amazing reviews we decided to take a chance. Our stay was even better than we could've imagined! Jolene and Gary were fabulous hosts making sure to provide their guests with a great experience. Breakfast was delicious, the accomodations were 5 star, and they seemed to have thought of all the small things like beach cruisers and chairs. We thoroughly enjoyed all of Gary and Jolene's tour and restaurant recommendations. Make sure to take a surfing lesson from their in-house surfing instructor. Thanks for everything Jolene, Gary, Maria, and Brooks. We will definitely be back!
