“MUST STOP”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This restaurant is a fun place with lots of menu selections and their micro brews are great. Under a roof but open to the beach this is a nice stop in for beer and the taco platter is superior. Make sure of the 3 you get to mix it up with beef, chicken and fish.at least on your first visit. Very nice place to rest after walking Tamarindo and needing a cool drink and some food.

“Chill atmosphere, good beer...ok sushi”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Eat at Joes is connected to the famous Witches Rock Surf Camp... The menu at EaJ is very well rounded, many different types of food. The prices seem a little up there, but we had sushi and it was presented beautifully and tasted fine. Not great...but decent. Their Craft Beer was tip-top. Being a Portlander, micro-brew capital of the world, I was very impressed with the Gato Malo Dark Ale. My wife enjoyed her Witches Rock Pale Ale...

Eat at Joes is fine. A bit high priced for average fare, but a solid diverse menu. Great waitstaff.

“Craft Beer in Costa Rica - what a treat!”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

My husband and I visited this venue twice..first time for a nice cold craft beer and the second time to try their food. We were very happy with both visits ( I was skeptical given the mixed reviews but, the place did not disappoint). We were seated right away, order taken and drinks/ food served promptly. We loved that the place is so relaxed with a great view of the sunset. You never feel rushed, like they are trying to turn tables, you just go and your own pace and soak in the view. I love a good craft beer, and we rather enjoyed their selection ( small selection, but all good). We ordered the big a*s nachos(half order - even this is big) and the mahi-mahi tacos. Given previous reviews of the food, I was not expecting much , BUT the food was GOOD. The mahi-mahi tacos were the best I have ever had - fresh fish and toppings and the nachos were delish - it came with chicken and was extremely filling. I would definitely recommend to stop off here, if only to have a local beer and enjoy the view.

“Food and service are nothin special”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Had to try it after doing a couple of surf trips from WRSC.
Sand and ocean views.
Greeted quickly and order taken. It's quite loud during the happy hour time but quiets quickly.

Best part is watching the TVs with video loops of the days surf lessons and trips! Way cool.
Slowish service after placing drink and food order.
" Nachos as big as your [--]" and "half [--] " nachos are really disappointing: mystery sorta meat and canned velveta sauce. Casado was basic and nothing special.
Not bad but certainly not good. Overall, just average.
