My friend and I stayed here for only a couple of nights, which wasn't nearly enough time to fully enjoy the comfort and splendor Casa Bambora had to offer. Joey is a great host who will go out of his way to make sure you get the most out of your stay. The shuttle wouldn't drop us off directly at Casa Bambora, but Joey picked us up from a nearby hotel and also dropped us off there after our stay.
Casa Bambora sits atop a hill and offers fantastic panoramic views - especially from the upper deck where you can watch the sun set behind the beach. In addition to the upper deck, most rooms have balconies complete with patio furniture where you can sit and enjoy the views. If all you want to do is lie down, enjoy the sounds of nature and read a book, you might be inclined to just lie in the one of many hammocks throughout the complex.
The town/beach is only a short walk away, and there's even a little nature trail that serves a nice shortcut. A flashlight comes in handy if you're venturing out at night! Casa Bambora is secluded enough to offer peace and quiet when you want to sleep, but it's also not far from many of the town's main attractions.
There are many more amenities that we didn't take advantage of. We didn't need to cook during our short stay, but there was a full kitchen in our room and also a communal kitchen where you can barbecue. Also, we didn't have to do any laundry. The pool area is clean and well maintained - in fact, I can say the same about the grounds throughout the complex.
When I visit Tamarindo again, there's no question as to where I'll stay - next time, though, it'll be for at least a week!
