Description: This setting could just as well be in LA or Paris; beautiful teak terracing, all handmade wood furnishing and the shining cobber from the bar and the lamps give that warmth and good feeling we all enjoy. The wait staff takes pride in being members of Team Coconut for years. It is their personalized attention that permits them to remember each client and their likings. Nowhere else will you feel as Welcome and Well attended as here. Every day the same words are repeated "The Client is the King". At El Coconut you will also find a truly professional kitchen where the main ingredients are "Heart & Soul". Who could be able to resist an Avocado filled with sauteed Shrimps, A Tropical Lobster prepared with fresh pineapple, raisins and ginger or not to forget the Surf & Turf even big enough to satisfy the hungriest surfer. Where else in Costa Rica would you find a temperate wine cellar of almost 1000 bottles? Nowhere that we know of. Our wine selection goes from the easy drinking Latin American table wines to finer selections such as Chateau Neuf du Pape, Penfold 389 and many more. Our seating capacity is more than 100. We are used to and truly enjoy arranging your special events; be that "The President's Club", incentive dinners, rehearsal dinners or weddings. Let us make your night that special night.

We went here a couple times. The food was very good and the staff very attentive and friendly. Very nice experience for us and will return in the future.

Ate here with my boyfriend. The service it has to be said was very good but the food a little on the disappointing side.I had the stuffed lobster which was more stuffed than lobster with way too much pineapple. My other half had the steak which he enjoyed and the restaurant itself on the Tamarindo strip had a good atmosphere and ambience, however, the food was not at a par with some other restaurants in the area and pricey with it

Food was good and service was okay...that said, there are so many options in Tamarindo that are better and less expensive. I am not cheap at all about spending good money on food. That said, the value just wasn't commensurate with the experience. Service was fine, but not great. Head to Nibbana or Seasons or Dragonfly instead!

Thank you so much for this feed back.
I do understand from your commentaries that I have to informe better about the
3 course dinner for $25,- (+ taxes = appr $30,-).
Yes we do have several options on the menu that are "higher price range" but oh so many that are completely affordable too :O)
I promis to start working on improving this.
Hoping to see you back again!
Best wishes Katharina

Went with a large group and the staff - especially the owner - was very accommodating. Ambiance was wonderful; warm, inviting, and open. Right across from a great open beachside bar as well. And the food was - most importantly - very good as well. Every plate was consistent and well prepared. Would certainly go back!
