My wife and I stayed with Sara at Casitas Laz Divaz for two nights in late January 2014, and had a wonderful stay. Our casita was very bright and, along with the grounds, had a perfect beachside feel. The location is tough to beat; directly on the beach, and near enough to restaurants and shops to make it convenient, but far enough removed that it never felt crowded.
Sara welcomed us the first night with a beer on the beach for sunset (along with the inn's other guests), and gave us great recommendations for local Tico places to eat in Samara. We spent hours sitting on the beach and laying in the hammocks just in front of the inn. Sara provided fresh OJ and coffee in the morning, and it was only a short walk for breakfast at nearby restaurants. Also more wildlife than we were expecting at the beach; a troop of seven howler monkeys were hanging out in a tree right above our casita for most of our stay.
Beach was a bit dark at night, so I'd definitely recommend a flashlight (and all the better to see the hundreds of tiny crabs scurrying around the beach!). Should also note that the mosquito netting is a must, as our casita was open-air at the top, but wasn't a big problem. Overall a wonderful stay, and I hope we can make it back sometime soon!More
