Nice resort and great staff! Food is good, but as a vegan, I would appreciate a few more options. Me and my husband were lucky and got a cute newly renovated villa, but the site needs a little TLC to be perfect. Renovations are still in progress....the beautiful view of the ocean and the quiet location makes everthing better!!

Room tip: Ask for a newly renovated villa.

We stayed here as part of an 8 day Monkey Tours adventure. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Andrey and Sergio. We loved our beach view condo which included kitchen, bathroom, large living room, bedroom and back deck. No tv or phone which was definitely ok with us. Food included all buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. A separate dinner service is available. Pretty good and plentiful with lots of fresh fruit and veggies. Love the ever present black beans and rice. Plenty of excursions available, we walked to Samara along the beach.
Tourists were mostly families from Canada and Costa Rica. Pool and grounds are well maintained. The improvements could be better and timely maid and room service

We stayed here as part of the multi-day Monkey Tours trip. Let's start with the positives. The staff is very friendly, and the grounds are well maintained - at least the parts that are functioning. The beach is amazing, with lots of hermit crabs, and some nearby horses that roam the beach. There are a lot of crushed up corals that litter the beach and roll around in the surf, so if one brushes against your foot don't be alarmed.

The parts that need improvement are plenty. The food service is slow, I think there was one waiter for over 20 tables, and probably one cook. Just getting breakfast out to everyone took at least an hour, and it was just toast and eggs for the most part.

The game room was in shambles. There is heavy construction next door, during they day you will hear it. The massages were pretty terrible, it was more like a light rubdown than an actual massage. The pool bar's hours were very limited.

Also, DO NOT go on the beach at night, unless you want a chance encounter with a family of ocelots. Fortunately for us, that's exactly what we wanted, and it was amazing.

Just adding a few more staff in the morning, and longer hours for the pool bar would go a long way to improving this location. As for the construction, there's not much that can be done until....its done.

as the title suggests the rooms and size of the resort are nice.lovely beach and quiet location.we walked along the beach to the main town which took about 40 mins.
main town can be described as happy hippy surfer town.lots of little places to eat which are delicious and super healthy like tigre verde or cocos mexican.
the food at the hotel is average at best so we only had breakfast included and went out for lunch and dinner as it’s too expensive and not good enough to pay for the buffet or all inclusive.only worth it if you’re going to drinks lots of alcohol.
would go back though as staff were very helpful especially Max.

Had the best time there , staff was friendly and helpful and gorgeous location away from all the hustle and bustle . It was close enough you could go into town for some excitement or souvenirs . I would highly recommend Monkey Tours on site for extracurricular activities off the resort...enjoy!
