Me and my daughter ended up in this restaurant to personally check the good reviews on TripAdvisor.
The restaurant was abandoned except for one table, we still decided to give it a try.
The atmosphere is close to nothing, to much white light and simple furniture.
We were welcomed by a very friendly young waiter who was very informative about the menu and made our decision on what to eat very easy.
We decided to split to dishes, the whole grilled fish and a plate of arroz con pollo, rice and chicken.
A huge amount of food was served to our table and both the dishes were delicious.
We paid about 25 USD for the food and 2 drinks.
The waiter was also very helpful with finding a place to stay, made some phone calls and even offered an umbrella to borrow to check out the place for the night.
Conclusion, the reviews about this restaurant are honest.
We tried again in the morning for breakfast but that was not possible which is a bit weird for a restaurant with a hotel attached to it.

This restaurant is amazing. All of the food (mostly local dishes is what we ate) was delicious, and the service was super nice and funny. They even bent over backwards to accommodate my husbands many food allergies without giving away their secret recipes. The garlic bread they have is easily one of the best things I have ever tasted, and they make tasty and inexpensive cocktails that are well worth it. We skipped eating there one night of our trip, and regretted it, so don't miss out on this one!

It's nice to have a casado where the fish is not fried. The restaurant itself is dark and a bit oppressive. Definitely and off the beaten path spot, but the fish made it worth while.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the service good and friendly - the only downside, which has its quirky charm, is the surroundings. They've built themselves a very spartan, functional restaurant which at first glance puts you off - when we first went by we didn't go in it looked so stark but after hearing so many good things we eventually returned and then ate there several times

We had heard this was a good place...and it lived up to the billing. I had shrimp in the Esmeralda sauce and my husband had the whole fish (red snapper) fried. My dish was very good but the shrimp were slightly overcooked. My husband loved his snapper and said it was excellent.
