If you prefer the road less travelled, come to Samara Beach. The people in Samara are genuinely nice. It is one of the few safe beaches...no rip tides. Perfect place to learn to surf. The ocean is calm enough to learn and active enough to provide a challenge when you get better. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels, to give you variety, without being overly touristy. Lots of amenities and trips out if you want it, or just walk the 5 kms of beach at your leisure. Always sunny (never rains between mid Dec and mid April) and a great place to completely relax.

Fun to play in the surf but some days the waves were too big. Good for surfers. Water was warm. Sand is quite nice for the Pacific side

The beach is beautiful, clean and no riptides. We haven't been before but were told that the Sept. earthquake rose the reef by a meter and now there is about 30meters of more sandy beach before you reach the tree line. It's beautiful!

This beach has the restaurants and bars running down it. Nice if you want that high traffic (mind you it is relative the beach is so large it was not crowded when we were there).

if you are looking for clear blue water, white sand and palm trees, this is the place. From the busy beach of Samara town where all the action is, walk a little further where you can get some peace and quite
