“Earthquake "benefit"?”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

The beach is beautiful, clean and no riptides. We haven't been before but were told that the Sept. earthquake rose the reef by a meter and now there is about 30meters of more sandy beach before you reach the tree line. It's beautiful!

“Active Beach”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

This beach has the restaurants and bars running down it. Nice if you want that high traffic (mind you it is relative the beach is so large it was not crowded when we were there).

“peace and quite”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

if you are looking for clear blue water, white sand and palm trees, this is the place. From the busy beach of Samara town where all the action is, walk a little further where you can get some peace and quite

“Fantastic place to chill.”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Playa Samara is a great place to just chill and enjoy the beach. If you are looking to surf, this is a great place for beginners, but the September 2012 earthquake kinda killed the bigger waves. Playa Guiones is nearby if you need higher waves. There was plenty of great food, cheap places to stay, and attractions to keep the family busy if you like. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded. Perfect!

We stayed for six magical days. The beach is beautiful. The town is just the right size. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We would certainly return.
