Playa Hermona it's one of the most wonderful and relax beach of Guanacaste, it is in a strategic place because is close enough to the Playas del Coco where it is a good place party and good places to have good food.

This Hotel & Resort was excellent. My niece had her wedding here. The staff was delightful. Our room, a junior suite, was clean and space was plentiful. The pool was beautiful as was the beach. The food was very good with lots to choices on the menu. Our family included children, teens and elders and they all had the same wonderful experience.

This is a perfect beach with all that you need nearby. Iguana Inn for budget conscious travellers, the El Velaro is quant and right on the beach.

If you are looking for a very quiet place with very good beaches, gorgeous sunsets, and a friendly mix of locals and ex-pats, you've come to the right place. If you're looking for a real party scene, it's available about 20 minutes away. This was just the sort of place I wanted to relax, try some fishing, sea kayaking and scuba diving. In late April, I was sometimes the only person at a restaurant on the beach in the evening after the locals had left. Very peaceful, very nice.

I loved Playa Hermosa. I stayed there for a week with my 8 month old son, my wife, and a friend. Each morning, my son and I strolled the mocha-colored sands of the beach, Michael giggling with joy at the local dogs that came to know us as friends. Tide pools at the north end provided lots of enterainment for us as the sun rose and dappled the fringe of palms and gunacaste trees that protect the beach.

There are many vendors on this public beach. If they have what you want (tours, fishing, snorkeling, certified masseuses), you'll get a good price. If you'd rather be left to yourself, a polite no-thank you, repecting the fact that Ticos, like us, must earn a wage, is warmly accepted.

One of the best aspects of this beach, beyond the warm water and the lovely view of rock islands and fishing boats trolling to and fro, are the people. Ex pats eager to convince you they were right 20 years ago when they came here, life-long Ticos and other Central and South Americans relaxing as you are, and restaurant and shop owners giving a little Pura Vida make you feel welcome no matter how new the area is to you.

I felt safe, warm, welcome and relaxed in Playa Hermosa.

One caveat: For adventuring, it takes 1.5 hours minumum to get to places. Scenic beaches, coffee plantations, and cloud forests require some driving. But if you're up for that, this is a great place to call home for a week.
