“Good Food, Drink and Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2014

The Rip Jack has a great menu and a great atmosphere. They also have a great drink menu. The cost of the drinks and meals is similar to what you would pay in the US an Canada so expect a normal bill.

“What a plate!”

This place has a great atmosphere, fresh healthy food and the staff is amazing. We stayed here during our honeymoon and the fish tacos are amazing. I could not believe the portions too they are huge. Would definitely recommend.

“Great food, in a small town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014

Decided to check out Playa Grande when I was staying in Tamarindo, and wound up sitting out a rainstorm at Rip Jack's (the only time the whole week it rained!). The food was great, and the service was super friendly. All in all, this place captured the pure vida vibe that makes Costa Rica so special. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

“Unbelievable quality in Playa Grande”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We had an amazing culinary experience at RipJack - a welcoming yet sophisticated beach side restaurant. We started with two delicious cocktails - mango jalapeno and guanabana margaritas. Next we had their delicious seafood sampler, with shrimp on hummus, grilled mahi salad and calamari. Our mains were impeccably cooked tuna rolled in sesame seeds, and the other was grilled to perfection ribs in homemade barbecue sauce. Service was fantastic. The menu begs you to return. Can't wait to go back!

“Great options, little pricey but yummy!”

Delicious food, great portions, excellent service. Not a budget option, but worth it. Menu has good choices for vegetarians and is overall very healthy. Kids loved it too!
