“Nice little dive shop.”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

We went diving with Ralph. He was very knowledgable about the local Maine life. Gave us a bunch pointers about hand signals and off we went. We got lucky and it was just Ralph and me and my wife. The service was good, rental equipment was in great condition and the dive sites were pretty good. LOTS of fish, eels, some lobsters and other tiny little creatures. Nothing HUGE but we did see a pretty impresive school of tuna. Anyhow, this isnt a review of the dive itself. As we all know, you can't ever predict what you will see. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the flaming area and want to do some diving. Great time.

“Top Place to Dive”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

Don't get discouraged because of reports of poor visibility. The poor visibility is caused by lots of plankton in the water, which attracts lots of fish. I have never see so many fish!

Went on one outing, then switched to a different company. Poor communication, lack of professionalism, lack of attention to details.

“Great experience even in poor conditions”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

We are not used to diving in the Pacific and were prepared for a different experience, but unfortunately the red tide was hard to escape on our 2 days of diving. We were planning on 3 but decided to cancel. The surge was strong but very valuable to learn how to dive in these conditions and our 12 and 15 year old boys got to log some impressive dives here. Andy (lead divemaster) led us w/ professionalism and confidence through all of the conditions and even was able to escape the red tide at the Flat Rock site. There were schools of Jacks, Morray Eels completely out of their rocks and we saw a GIANT grouper. We enjoyed the rays and many colorful fish as well. It was too bad that the visibililty was poor because you can see that there are so many wonderful formations and fauna out there. We obviously had a blast because we did eagerly go out for day # 2 and it was worth every Colon!!

“Good dive shop, Just bad timing”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

We booked two days of diving though Bill Beards from doing internet research.
After talking to the front desk at my Hotel, I found I would actually be diving with Aquacenter.

The only major problem was two days earlier I received and email from Bill Beards stating the diving was incredible and that I needed to book both days as all the dive boats in the area were full. So reluctantly I paid over the phone and thought nothing of it

We arrived early thinking it would be busy, however our group of 5 along with 4 others were the only ones booked on a boat that would handle 15+ divers.
Next Andy the Dive master (who was very helpful and informative stated conditions have been very bad for the last few weeks. I told him about the report that I had received from Bill Beards only days earlier stating 50-100' visibility and giant schools of Ray's and Fish.
Andy was honest and stated that was not the case at all. All said we had 3'10' visibility in very strong currents. on one of the 4 dives we were able to see a few Rays, and a few solo fish. Andy stated it was just not a good time of year to dive there.
We appreciated his honesty and hard work for trying to make the best of it.
I would enjoy diving with them again in better conditions.
Just make sure to check conditions before booking.
