My husband and I are down here for a month visiting our son who lives in Playas Del CoCo. Although there are nice restaurants in town including small, local establishments, we decided to treat him to something he could not afford on a local salary. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, has air conditioning (unusual) and plenty of ceiling fans. The place looks like something you would find in the states; decor in blue and brown, and linens on the table. The service was very attentive without being pesky. We had lunch, two ice teas, and a beer. I had the fish tacos, my son had spicy chicken quesadillas (the best my son has ever had), and my husband had a burger. All were wonderful and the ingrediants were fresh and plentiful. Emphasis on presentation and quality which matched the state, resort prices. Very much of a treat for our son especially since you do not have to worry about the bugs during rainy season. This restaurant is also nice as you have a view of the ocean, overlook their beach club, and it is off the main street in CoCo.
The restaurant does not seem to get much attention due to the above reasons but is certainly worth the money for lunch or dinner. My sister and brother in law went there for dinner and though the food was excellent they felt it was a bit pricey for what you would expect here. They also felt the staff service was friendly and very attentive. For those looking for a nice place out of the heat they also offer Happy Hour!
