My girlfriend and I rented this condo for a week during our two week vacation to C.R. at the end of March. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Excellent or suburb would be an understatement!
It was our first experience renting a condo, as opposed to staying at a hotel. We originally found it on Air BB, but subsequently booked it through a local property management company, Rich Coast Vacations-Costa Connection.
At first we were a bit hesitant to book, paying upfront with an additional security fee to an unknown recipient out of the country. The are many Pacifico condos listed on the net that can be booked on different sites. We were skeptical to book here, because there weren't a lot of reviews of the Pacifico condos on sites like Tripadvisor. Also, all the photo's that we viewed were professional, management submitted photos. For the price (considerably less than we'd pay at a nice hotel for the week) the deal seemed too good to be true. And you know what they say about that?
On arrival, we called and were quickly greeted at the gate by Dave, the property manager we'd booked with. He brought us up to show us the place. Immediately upon entering, we knew we'd made the right choice!
The place was enormous! At least 3-4 times larger than any resort suite we've ever had. Seeming new, bright, and luxurious. All the comforts of home. It looked exactly like the photos we'd seen online. No Photoshopping. Both bedrooms had their own private bathroom with walk-in showers. A large patio overlooking the pool. Two large and modern flatscreen T.V. with satellite programming, super fast wifi, and all the modern appliances you'd have at home. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans, utensils, and anything you could need.
All this for only $180 per night. (One bedrooms are even cheaper)
The grounds were exceptionally well manicured and serene.
Pacifico is a secure gated community with 24 hour security. We never felt uneasy about our valuables being secure. Didn't even lock the car or use the safe.
Location was less than .5 mi or 1 Km to the main drag and the beach. There's an American style grocery store at the front gate of Pacifico. You can buy the same items and brands there that you would in the USA/Canada. There's also a local grocery store, just across the street behind the Papa John's. ( With cheaper prices than the more worldy chain)
Only minor complaint was the pool and jacuzzi closing at 9 p.m. After a long and hot day out in the 99F heat, we were hoping for midnight dips in the pool and jacuzzi. Hotels usually close theirs early, but we thought a private condo community wouldn't have any posted hours.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Forget the all inclusive resorts and stay here. You'll have tons more space, a nicer room, two private pools (one with bar service)free parking, be minutes walking distance to town, and you'll actually spend less money per night. Likely hundreds of dollars compared to the resorts and all-inclusive places nearby.
