“Sailing a MUST!”
Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

A group of 8 of us celebrating a milestone birthday together took the day trip with Captain Brad and it was awesome....he was very safety conscious, provided such good customer service and really treated us great. We learned a lot about the area and saw a few interesting sites...sunset was beautiful and the day on the water was a great treat for all of us. I definitely recommend not trying to snorkel right after a heavy rain at the beginning of the rainy season, as that made the water too full of debris to see anything, but that definitely wasn't our host's fault. Just make sure you don't go right after a downpour. Brad was a great host and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

“Amazing day with Captain Brad!”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

My family, including children ages 11, 8 and 6 took a full day private sail with Captain Brad. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica! The day was so relaxing and yet so exhilarating! Brad took us to some amazing beaches, we snorkeled, swam in the ocean and even caught a fish. Brad is very knowledgeable about the area, so we learned much about the landscape, various beaches, etc. Brad was very patient with our two little boys and did everything he could to make sure they were safe and still enjoyed the trip. Drinks and an amazing lunch of chicken tacos was served. This is definitely a must!

“A Day in Paradise”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

During our vacation in Costa Rica, our family chartered a day sail on "Surfari", a Morgan 42 yacht. Captain Brad, the skipper of the yacht, demonstrated excellent sailing skills while exp
laining how to manage sailing., "Surfari" is an older, sturdy vessel, well-equipped for all occurrences when under sail.

We cruised in Bahia Portrero, a beautiful, scenic part of Costa Rica. Captain Brad identified the areas we were passing, demonstrating knowledge of the waters he sails. Our objective was for the family to snorkel on a lovely beach. Captain Brad anchored near the beach, and supplied us with equipment for the swim.

While the family swam ashore, Captain Brad and his crew prepared a delightful repast. A generous bowl of fresh pineapple, beverages, and wonderful beef tacos were devoured.

Our cruise ended with a magnificent sunset, as we returned to "Surfari's" home port. Every need of our family was anticipated and graciously delivered.

I would recommend, without reservation, a cruise with Captain Brad on "Surfari".

“Unbelievable Experience”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We sailed with Captain Brad in February 2013 during a visit to Playa Conchal. Everything about his operation is first class – from the boat, to the service, to the food and drinks. Brad and his crew really go out of their way to create a personalized experience that’s far different than the crowded “booze cruises” run by the local catamaran operators. We sailed with our 4-year old twins, and it was a fun and exciting afternoon.

“Great Adventure”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

My girlfriend and I did a half day sail with Jack. We had a great time. Not only did we sail but stopped and snorkeled and were able to fish as we sailed. Unfortunately we caught no fish. Great leisurely way to see the coast. Beer, wine and food were provided plus a great local music station. Great company and a leisurely afternoon. Sunset was amazing. Highly recommend.
