just got back from costa rica....and i had the misfortune of staying at the blue dream hotel...however the web site is nice...it doesnt not nearly show what really is the true extent of the hotel nore the owner....lets start off with the rooms.. i work for the hotels soo i know a little something about service...i wouldn't even classify them as enough room fora childs play room...
the beds are awful, the bathrooms are the smallest things i have ever seen in my life...they say its a hotel however nothing is provided as in soap or shampoo.. and do not tell you what to bring..... the bathrooms smell as if they were perceived for the local horses down the road....and there were spiders everywhere..i have counted over 20 bites in just my 5 days visit there..... the spa is /ha...there is no pool nor Jacuzzi that i would even boast about...... and if you dare to dip your feet in the nasty water that looks like its been sitting for 2 years it will cost you 10$ for 20 mins.... the owner charges you for everything.... $1.20 for 2 eggs for breakfast if you wanted cheese with that it will cost you 2 $ more....whats the reasoning with that..? the menu is anything other then Italian with basic stuff that is plain and under seasoned... there is a gas grill provided for the guess (however the owner will charge you 5 dollars to use it for 20 mins to cook some fresh meat cus they will not hold on to your produce you buy....if you stay here be prepared to eat there everyday or drive into town to eat..... \\\
and as for the wind.....25 to 35+ winds...too much for kite surfing and the wind surfers have looked like they havent even been moved in 4 years.....when i expressed interess in seeing if i can get at least one usable board and sail out i was shuned away as if...whhy do you want to do that...( when we can take your money for 45$ and hour to watch you get sandblasted on the beach) and for the most of the time we all sat on our buts watching the sand pulverize our self's and our kites....i would not recomend this place for anyone that is looking for a vacation.... maybe a over priced hostel however i have stayed at hostels for far cheaper and 10 times the accommodations...and dont even get me started with the no ac or t how they turn off your fans and lights in the rooms if you step away for 10 mins... that drove me crzy... while there 2 to 3 other parties expressed interest in how the hotel was not run like it could..... May be for a night or 2 max i would stay there for a stopping ground befor you head up to Nicaragua but even that would be too long...
