“Casado at Cascajo's!”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

The best Casado in Costa Rica! The service was excellent as well. For the amount of food that you get, is a real deal. Rce, beans, plantains, good steak portion, potatoes with carrots dish and a salad. $7. Their fruit drinks were also great. We each drank mora, papaya, pineapple and guanabana. Great service as well. We will definitely go back!

“Excellent food!!”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

We heard about this little gem through trip advisor. My husband ordered the house chicken and I had the house steak. Both had delicious toppings and were served with two sides. The portions were huge! We also enjoyed the ceviche appetizer. Our sever was extremely polite and attentive. There was a little dog running around the place, we saw a couple tucans, but we were a bit early to see Bruce Lee. The view of the volcano was perfect! We will definitely be back next time we are in Costa!

“Great food and friendly service”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

We had dinner here last night and really enjoyed our meal. We took a cab($5 ea way) from Tabacon where we're spending the night. There were 4 of us. My daughter said their mushroom chicken was the best she'd ever had. All total we had 3 beers, tea, guacamole, a shrimp appetizer that was enough for a meal, steak, fish and another chicken dish for $103. Everything tasted great and the portions were very large. We'd def. go back again.

“Food excellent but prices high”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

We stopped here on a whim after hiking in arenal national park. The food (ceviche and special sandwich) were good but prices reflected on menu were not what we were charged. Apparently, mixed ceviche was 2500 colones more each but we were not told that, just asked what we wanted. So, 2 people (2 appetizers and 1 sandwich) for lunch with water to drink was 44 bucks.

“Good Local Restaurant”
Reviewed April 29, 2012

This is a good restaurant close to the hotels that are west of La Fortuna. It looks like a typical soda in the middle of no where, but has great views of the volcano. The service was friendly and accomodating. We had great guacamole for a starter. For dinner, both my husband and I had fresh locally caught fish. They had various sizes of fish ranging in price from $15 to $50. We got the smaller fish, which was served whole and they were great. All the sides, veggies, rice, beans, and plantains were great as well. We would go back.
