We stayed at the resort 5 nights with my wife and kids. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen. The amenities are second to none. Quality is in everything here. One of the unknown bonuses of The Springs is that even when it rains there is still plenty of activities to to keep the family entertained. The pools which are everywhere are mystical. We loved the miniature golf course to. Club Rio was so much fun too. The river tubing was a favorite with our kids and there are so many hidden hot springs to enjoy. Big plus. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this property for families when visiting the Arenal area! Too much going on here to mention, you won’t be disappointed.

We arrived to Springs Resort and immediately was impressed with the hospitality and grounds. The front immediately took our luggage and handed us cocktails and refreshments before we checked in. Perhaps because we came during the off-season but we were upgraded to an enormous 3 bedroom suite with a view of the volcano! The suite was massive, clean, comfortable with a beautiful balcony and Jacuzzi! We were overwhelmed and felt like we could have just stayed in our suite as the vacation! We absolutely loved the mineral pools, pool side seating, swim up bar, game room which the boys took advantage of during breaks and downtime. Club Rio was great with lots of activities available. We loved going to the Wildlife Sanctuary, our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. One of the spider monkeys tried to reach out and grab my son's hat with his tail, which was great. My boys loved that they got to actually pet the toucans and see up close the sloths! We also did the horseback riding and that was just fun! The horses are really well trained and our guides were easy and we just loved taking the long trails around the grounds and through the streams. Again because we were there during the start of their rain season, it wasn't crowded so we enjoyed the Monkey Slide all to ourselves and it was so much fun! The grounds are amazing as we saw all kinds of wildlife walking down the path to the main resort area. We saw hummingbirds, toucan, and kinkajous! I don't know how they keep bugs away because the entire time, we never got bit or saw bugs even in the morning on our balcony! Loved that I could just walk out with my coffee, sit and enjoy my view of the grounds and volcano!
The restaurants are good for a resort with lots of food choices. Enjoyed their breakfasts, salads, and kids menu for the boys.
This place is worth to stay for 3 nights to explore the resort and do an excursion to Arenal Park, where we did a hike to the hanging bridges and waterfall. But the best part of the park was doing the 7 zip lines down the mountain. We booked with Sky Adventures and they were just fantastic! Loved our stay at the Springs, felt pampered and catered by everyone there.
Our room was very elegant and had a beautiful view of Arenal volcano from our beautiful deck. The restaurants were also very good. We loved walking the trails and visiting all the many hot pools. A warning that it did seem expensive though and isolated from any other activities.

Fantastic resort all around. Great room, excellent view (from everywhere), nice hot pools, lots of pool side seating, restaurants also good.
We had a 2nd floor Vista room which had a great view of the volcano. Room layout was also well thought out. Bathroom was huge with shower and toilet each separate from the double sink.
Many pools which claimed to be fed from the hot springs. Lots of seating around the pools plus pool side food service and of course bars.
The lower pools were less crowded and wild life was all around including monkeys, toucans, and a small snake or two.
We booked a zip line through the hotel and that went off without a hitch (highly recommended but suggest go the early part of the day for less crowds). We also did horseback riding at the resort and that was great. The guides knew what they were doing and the trails were well kept and included hills and water.
Restaurants, really 3 different ones if you don't count the pool side ones, were very good.
Do expect to drop some extra $'s for the food and drink. We ended up averaging about $125 a day per person and that was with about 4 alcoholic beverages per day per person.
The staff was also most excellent, especially the wait staff. Always pleasant and attentive, and willing to answer any questions and accommodate requests.
We used this as a base to do various activities in the area. The rooms were fine, albeit, I think the price was quite high
We had problems on two nights with the premium restaurant, on both occasions they were unable to cook stakes medium rare and on one occasion we had to send them back twice, which is not acceptable at a hotel of this standing
