Our family of 5, with children 7, 10, and 12, enjoyed The Springs thoroughly during our 3 day stay.
The location is breathtaking with jungle and volcano views. Each of our 2 rooms, both with excellent volcano views, was spotless and perfectly prepared with fresh flowers and well thought out amenities, including 2 hammocks on each private patio.
The entire staff was genuinely hospitable. We particularly enjoyed meeting Jaimie and Jay from Guest Services, who were warm, engaging, and sincere.
The dining services served a wide range of delicious options. They were able to accommodate my son's food allergies, and Las Ventanas helped us celebrate my wife's birthday memorably. Though it sometimes took longer by American standards to get meals prepared, we found this to be the case elsewhere in Costa Rica and it was nice to slow down on vacation, anyhow.
And the range of activities at Club Rio, the Spa, and of course the pools and springs were just right for our family. We also loved our excursion to the Hanging Bridges where we saw lots of wildlife with a private guide. The game room was a hit with our kids and allowed us to linger over meals.
Part of its wonder is in its isolation, but that does mean a relatively winding and sometimes bumpy ride to The Springs. Other than that, we would recommend a stay here without reservation!More
