“Great Rafting Trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

We took a 2 day rafting trip with Tico's in December 2012. Our guide, Giovani was fun, helpful, experienced and made us feel like we were in very safe hands. We took to the Pacuare river and had an amazing experience, starting with a swim across the river and a short hike upstream to a small waterfall, with lots of jumping in and messing around. Once we set sail we rafted for a short stretch (an hour or 2) before arriving at camp. A Note here - I think that on the one day trip you would cover the same stretch of river as the 2 day but you don't get to experience the lovely overnight stay in basic cabins overlooking the river, more waterfall hiking and swimming, delicious food and relaxing and plenty rum drinking (bring own rum!). We went over the Mayan end of the world and woke up in stunning surroundings with no idea if the rest of civilisation was still there... Basically, if you're short of time and cash then the one day rafting would be ace too. A soild gold highlight of our trip!

“These guys are truly the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

These guys are truly the best. Not only are they experts but they are really kind, fun and genuinely love what they do. They had command of the raft the entire time. We totally trusted them. We had so much fun doing class 4 rapids with them. They knew I wanted an intense experience so when the river was calm they spun the raft around and took paths that made it more exciting. When they said it was ok to swim I don't hesitate for a second before flipping backwards out of the raft into the water. When it was time for the rapids to begin again they gave me more than enough warning to get back on the raft in time. My wife and I had such a great time with these guys that we immediatelly scheduled another adventure for two days later.

“Wonderful Raft Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

Our party of 11 enjoyed a great day. Roberto picked us up in a clean van at our hotel. He is very professional and safety conscious. Ivan was our guide. This outfit is very careful to review safety procedures. The guide was professional and also pointed out many natural river features. Highly recommended!!!

“Excellent outfit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2012

We went white-water rafting with Tico and found them to be extremely organised and professional. There was no faffing around, everything ran smoothly.

The river wasn't particularly high due to lack of rain so the rapids weren't too extreme but still great fun.

The lunch provided is amazing!

If you take you're bags with you, the driver will look after them in the van while you raft, and then they can drop you off in the next town to get your bus direct to San Jose or wherever you're going next rather than having to go back to Turrialba and getting the bus back saving you a few hours travel time.
